I got a problem. See, my friend Cody is REALLY starting to get into Dimmu Borgir. Normally, I would not mind (maybe), but he's thinking that they're one of the most amazing metal bands ever. All the things he points out about them (their vocals, anti-christian sentiment, etc) are all commonplace black metal things.

Am I wrong in wanting to force feed him better BM until he hates Dimmu Borgir?

Power IS my favourite genre, along with Prog. But I listen to pretty much every genre of Metal that there is... except Doom, cause I've never got round to being bothered with it, or Stoner/Sludge, because I find its crap.

Besides that I love Death Metal as long as it has a suffix/prefix along the lines of Progressive, Brutal, Technical, Melodic... or is just Kataklysm.

I don't mind Black Metal either... I can even listen to the horribly kvlt stuff cause it has an almost film score esque appeal about it... the whole atmos shizzle.

I got the Darkness for X Box 360 yesterday and just started playing it (haven't gotten to actual gameplay yet) and noticed Mike Patton in the credits. I looked it up on IMDb and yes, it's that Mike Patton. He does the voice of "the Darkness" which is that thing inside the main character, Jackie Estacado.
