i actually like folk metal already, same as for viking. And those are really cheesy genres too, i just dont like the sound of power.

No, he play the bass....

Fucking Lol.
Hardcore bassist.
Thanks to pukkelpop (some fest), I have come to the conclusion that soulfly live = awesomeness. Yes, it is nu-metal. But for soulfly, I don't care.
also, check rodrigo y gabriela. acoustic guitars, that's it. but it's great.
example

The ones that make the acoustic cover of metallica's one?
And for the power metal, i'm not a huge power fan but, it's still good, all kinds of metal are good for me (i even like nu-metal a bit), besides i'm going to see sonata arctica live (not really into them, but there are really few metal band shows, and it's my gf's favorite band)
It is Linkin Park, but it is remotely likeable and/or heavy. See the paradox?

Linkin Park are good, if you pretend that they died after Hybrid Theory :).
Heavenly-Virus=OBTAINED
...I regret not having this album since the day it was released.

It looks too much like Tim Burton to be anything but gay.

If you like Tim Burton I don't want you to like me :P.
Except Edward Scissorhands, thats fine.
I think thats Tim Burton, aye?
Nev, could you please shut the fuck up and contribute something already? Thanks.

Hehe, sure thing boss, I just like complaining. And its hard to contribute much when my connection doesn't allow me to be as up to date as the rest of you folk with you're broadband >:(.
But anyway:
I found an Iron Maiden song that I like. Phantom of the Opera.
I doubt I'd like it if I hadn't played it on guitarist first and enjoyed that little melody thing at 4.50. But its alright to listen to I suppose.
Happy now you Nazi?

JAWOHL, Oberkammandant Himmler! Wegtreten!
I never liked Maiden. I don't know why, it just didn't click with me. Yeah, some nice melodies and solos here and there but Dickinson's vocals are the opposite of my preference.

The vocals don't bother me. No vocals do really. Except some, but nothing comes to mind. The slow, repetitive, gallops bore me.
Anyway, I think I have a right to moan, you totally screwed me over!
and also, why does the bassline sound the excact fucking same on almost every Iron Maiden song?
At 8/18/07 06:14 PM, Crowler wrote: and also, why does the bassline sound the excact fucking same on almost every Iron Maiden song?
Steve Harris uses a lot of Roots and 5ths in his basslines, so that explains that.
Here I am, bored with everything.

I see what you're saying, but I could probably name most of their songs from the bassline alone.
And how do 4 horsemen, one armed with a laser and another with a sythe...Look ANYTHING like something Tim Burton would come up with? (I got nothing against him, but I've never been a fan of his movies)

I like it when they moan. That's always a good sign. Thnaks for the compliment! You got my number

The whole obscure nature of it.

I dunno, if I saw that coming towards me, I'd probably shit myself and run.
