The Newgrounds Department of Defense
Welcome to the NGDD! Our purpose is to band together to serve Newgrounds. We have had a long history of 380 pages and are one of the oldest surviving clubs/crews on NG. We have decided to start and continue using this thread as our active thread to create more interest in the NGDD and to clarify what our purpose and activities consist of in the first page.

Activities
The NGDD will have many competitions, b/p, Flash, audio, review, random quizzes, etc. When you participate in a competition, you will earn a certain amount of points depending on your performance in the competition. These points will be able to be redeemed for Newgrounds merchandise or a promotion within the club. Other ways to earn points is to do various things for the NGDD, such as running a competition.

Club Structure
There are four main departments: The Department of Flash, The Department of BBS, The Department of Audio, and the Department of Internal Affairs. A member of the NGDD will be able to join or switch to any one of the departments, the Department of Internal Affairs can only be joined if your rank is higher than Private. Each department is headed by a leader (already selected from the previous thread) and afer this post each leader will post what their departments purposes are and the expected duties of their members.

Joining the NGDD
So you want to join the NGDD? All you need to do is to post saying which department you would like to be in, excepting the Internal Affairs (see above). There are no requirements to join the NGDD, but you will be automatically dishonourably discharged and lose all points if a post is not made in two weeks without prior notice. Also, all new members will be ranked as Privates for fifteen days after which, they will be promoted by their Department leader to your participation in the NGDD.

A couple of things could happen:

1) We just stay as a small group in this club
2) One of the leaders email the mods and MAYBE get our club back, it worked for my review request club!
3) This club slowly dies and the whole idea dies... (hopefully this doesn't happen)

I don't mind a small group either. To start out at least, it's more manageable and can grow at a steady pace. I'm glad the contest is still on. Even though I doubt I'd win since I can only review flashes and hope for b/p points, which I don't seem to acquire quite as quickly as some others do. Put that down to odd taste in flashes, I don't know. It just seems like an awful lot of complete utter crap gets protected, while some simple but good flashes get blammed pretty quickly. It gets frustrating when you try to vote on "merit" and it seems quite evident that many many others do not do so.

Or start up an active game/competition and spread the word about that. I think that would work better than "hey, join us. We're gong to do some really cool things." It would attract more attention and interest to be able to say, "hey, check out the new flash competition at the NGDOD! Anyone can participate! Share your thoughts and do your part to protect the Portal and at the very least earn some b/p points for your efforts!"

School's out, I'm back. After reading everything after my last post here, I am still unclear on what I have to do as of now (I probably missed something while skimming the recent posts.) the new thread idea seems to be a good plan, but it was rushed. As Turandot/Sarai said making a plan and re-doing that is still an option, just get the go-ahead assured before you post it out. And as far as that competition is concerned, scrap it, barely enough response to warrant a competition :(, I will still post the sig I made if you wish though. [:D]

Blah, chances are I will be much more active without having to be gone most of the time in school at least till September.

Yes, you're definetely suited for both of them. To get into the BBS department, all you need is 10 good posts, it's very opened to newcomers, and you have enough experiance in the portal to allow you to be in the flash Department. It's pretty much up to you, just hurry up with an answer so we can put you into the ranks, eccentricmiked.
