Found out a couple of Rob1221's games are suffering from broken medals.

First's Polarity Switch, which didn't award me "12 Levels" despite having finished every level up to Level 14:

Second is Dark Light Swap, which didn't award a medal after I'd finished level 4:

I did earn a couple medals on Polarity Switch back in early 2023, which narrows the search for any breaking updates somewhat.

There probably are more games of Rob's which suffer medals not being awarded, but these are just the two I noticed.

That's odd, I had this medal unlocked awhile ago.

There's a chance Firefox got an update and it did something but uncertain. You could attempt to get it on other browsers if doable.

I recall Ruffle having an issue with opening links before, but it worked for me just now on the latest version of Firefox, so not sure. You can try using a different browser, but a more reliable way might be to change your settings to use Newgrounds Player instead.

If the option is available that is... The saddest part if you wanna get most of the achievements out of a single game.

You'd have to mess around a lot with browsers, something with secure tracking (one specific flash had such issue) and using different methods from going from Ruffle only to NG Player.

I wish it was easier to confront such nuisance but it is a hassle to work with it.

As a protip too: if there are even new released games that have medals they will have issues due to small inconsistency.

So not everything is perfect.

Madness Accelerant achievements have either long delay to function or work fine but it's a 50-50 gamble. You have to sit through a very poor performance play until you hopefully get everything.

Tequilla Zombies 3: "Sweet Dreams" and "Rest in Peace" even though I earned them in game.

Poltergifts: "Hell Time" is impossible to get due to constant freezes.

People have earned these as recently as two days ago. Did you earn them after 30-60 minutes of playing? Some games lose connection to the NG API after a while. If you reload the game and go back to the badges page (sometimes clicking on the specific one will do it), do they resubmit?

I did, I even earned another medal while at it. The 2 in question still do not appear.

And what about the one of Poltergifts? Is there anything I can do about it or is it a lost cause?

Followed Magnus727's walkthrough for "Oh, there's more?", but didn't earn the medal.

Tested on Ruffle (on Firefox) and NG Player.

Alula Falling #1's Golden Astronaut (screenshotted below) is outright unobtainable - whilst it is visible on screen, it cannot be clicked on (either by using the mouse or by using Tab):

Checking the Astronaut's Medal Details shows the last people to got it earned it on 8th December 2016, indicating JackAstral introduced the bug around that time.

Judging by Magnus727's medal guide, the textbox is the root cause of this issue - his screenshots for the other games (#2, #3, #4, #5) show their Astronauts to be partially or completely above the textbox.

Downloading the SWF and opening it in JPEXS also shows the Astronaut (given the name "goldenToken") has a lower depth value than the textbox (given the name "dialogueBox_mc")

With that in mind, there's two potential fixes for this; either moving the Astronaut upwards so it is no longer covered by the textbox, or increasing its depth above 33.

(NB: I have known about this issue since May 1st - apologies for not reporting it here sooner)

the last user that got the first level achievement was June 28th, 2020. These achievements are completely broken. If you read the comments between July 2021 and and April 2023, you can see that they're complaining about the achievements not working as attended.

Despite finishing Vicious Volcano without taking any damage, I didn't earn the medal "Vicious Volcano - PERFECT":

You might wanna restart your browser or page. Usually takes few tries until the servers / site itself registers medals.

It can usually be just synchronization stuttering.

I've tried repeatedly restarting the page and finishing VicIous Volcano normally, but the medal still hasn't popped.

I think someone's gonna have to award me it manually - I think I've broken this medal somehow.

No medal was awarded, and no high score was posted, upon finishing the game.

Testing confirms this issue occurs on both Ruffle (Chrome/Firefox) and NG Player.

The medals in this game don't work for some reason (well, at least for me).

The game won't reward you medals anymore, I used to collect 5/7 medals from that game around March of 2016, sadly, the game will instead open up a pop-up to the game, and when you either collect the coins, trophies or the old record, the medals won't be transferred to your account, so now all the medals are broken.

The medals that I didn't receive are all from the FRIDAY NIGHT FUNKIN' game.
I did exactly the conditions the game asked for and I didn't receive any.

can vouch on this too, been trying to get the medals for about a year and messed around with adblocker + different browsers just in case without any luck, did everything the game had to offer too

i did see there were some still able to get the medals so at first i didn't know if i missed something or what

Hello everyone, for some reason the games from gamezhero do not start, an endless loading screen appears:

No matter how long I wait, the game doesn't load.

Who knows how to solve this problem???

Can you link to some specific examples? I could see if it's something that can get fixed.

Here are a couple of examples: Balls Brothers, OFFS3T game, The Sequence, Color Balls... These are not all games that don't load.

These are working for me via Ruffle, are you loading them with NG Pjayer?

Survival Horror - Newgrounds Rumble

I have done the requirements and I have proof of completion but it won't unlock on the website.

This game loads the intro and then freezes at a grey screen. Tried both NG player and Ruffle with the same result.

incidentally, i've also been going through gamezhero games lately, and have been stuck on this one specifically:

seems like when launched via newgrounds player, it's constantly stuck on loading.

meanwhile when launched via ruffle, it loads, but after pressing play the game's stuck on a black screen.

there's options in the top right corner which allow to "pause" the screen, and the pause menu works fine, meaning it's not like the game isn't working; but either the game itself has broken, or there's a second non-visible loading screen that takes way too much to load? idk

i haven't tried any of the games you've listed, and the other gameszhero games i played so far have worked just fine with newgrounds player.

but when they don't, trying to use ruffle should work.

unless it's a specific case, medals should work with it as well, in general
