Just played this game, and all medals unlock correctly.

Alright, so I was able to run it through NG Player (on Windows, not through Wine or a VM) and the medals still didn't work. Can you provide any more details about your setup?

Hmm... I just tried it again, this time with Chrome & NG Player and it worked fine (apple medal). So I tried it on both Firefox and Chrome. I'm on Win 8.1. I wonder if it makes a difference: I still got an original - and functional Flash Player installed on my computer - I know that there was a Win 10 update that deleted it.

Anyway it is getting too problematic, so I'll tag @Little-Rena here with a question: can you deal with this issue?

I can't find the .fla file for it, so I have disabled the "works with Ruffle".

I know what the issue is, there is something in the AS2 API that I left on, which Ruffle doesn't like, I'll make an effort to go through all my .fla files one day to make sure I have fixed them, but this one, not sure I can, sorry. Gotta use NG Player.

I accidentally played it VIA BlueMaxima's FlashPoint.instead of it VIA Newgrounds Player.

All of these medals are broken (seems like they never worked from the beginning)

As far as I remember I had a talk with NoCares about implementing these medals, I guess that despite some declarations that never happened. Taken care of (removed).

As for the first one: I wonder how did the author actually manage to test them?

The medals in this game are unobtainable. For some reason the game doesn't properly register the player's score, so most players who have ever played the game have not gotten anymore than 4 points.

Also the medal named "10 Punches" really doesn't work at all, there are 3 people on the leaderboard who somehow managed to get more than 10 points including the developer himself, but they haven't gotten the medal. The developer acknowledged the problem in the review section:

Both medals in this game are broken. One medal is supposed to award for upgrading your pickaxe and the other for upgrading your ore, but no matter how many times you upgrade both, no medals award.

And no one has obtained either medal.

And the game isn't new, so the author should have had ample time to fix if he was going to.

Bass Master Online

All medals would be broken because the game is now broken.

I think it needs to connect to a remote server, and that server is no longer in operation. All you get is an option to join the server, and then it just kicks you right back to the option to join the server because obviously it fails.

Probably would be best to just unpublish this game.

In Escaping the Complex, clicking a music link in the credits sequence of any ending is supposed to earn you the medal "Patron of Tunes".

Whilst doing this did earn me the medal in-game, Newgrounds failed to recognise its been earned, as this screenshot demonstrates:

Given I earned the medal in Ruffle, its likely the cause is due to something within Ruffle.

As I recall, clicking links is indeed somewhat broken in Ruffle. Given others have earned it recently, it should unlock in NG Player as with similar medals, so please give that a try.

Installed NG Player to do just that, and got the medal - thanks for the help.

also Pixelo stopped giving me medals after the first two. are my messages even being acknowledged.

Pixelo seems to be working based on the recent unlocks. You may need to refresh the game to reestablish a connection to NG. Hopefully it resends any medals you have earned. Some games do it when you visit a certain screen.

thanks for responding I had begun to think this was actually a really old thread and you guys had started a new one for broken medals and I was in the wrong place

Also, no matter what recent unlocks might be telling anybody it's just flat out not even giving me medal notifications anymore whenever I do something that should be unlocking medals

I reset the game once to try and get the "Jumper" medal again (it gave me the notification and made the little sound) and now I just don't get notifications at all for the game.

All the game stuff flies over my head so I'll just keep resetting I guess until it works

I haven't tested all the medals, but it seems to work for me in NG Player. Do you have that installed and enabled in your account settings? The game page doesn't load Ruffle so I guess it's only supported with Player.

Not sure about the issues with Pixelo, but another thing that can sometimes help if you're having issues is to try a different browser. Some games can just be a pain though - might help to refresh the page after completing/saving each puzzle so that it reestablishes an API connection by reloading the game.
