Unfortunately, no. Partly I've been busy with other things, and partly there's been a general lack of demand for the medals to be fixed. Considering Hungry Joe is still the largest project I've ever worked on, I'd love to republish it, but were that the case I would likely remake the entire thing for a new platform. Chances are the Flash version will stay as-is.

Is it just me or is the game just not loading at all? I tested it in Firefox and Chrome, but no dice. It would show the Stencyl loading screen for like a few seconds and then get a blank screen.

I do see the medals work as the last user to earn medals was about 2 hours ago.

I just loaded it successfully in Chrome, but it has the pointed issue on Firefox. If you get a black screen (Chrome) just reload the tab.
Lemme know if the medals still work though. Looks like nobody unlocked them since yesterday.

Nope. Haven't updated since it was under judgement and it seemed to be working for everyone. I tried it just now and I got the black screen so I tried again and it worked. I will look into this matter and fix it if I possibly can.

3. Reload the tab;
4. And then the game works as well as the medals.

deep castle has medals that won't work for anyone. it's a shame, because it's a really nice game, and that led to bad reviews.

There are other Halloween specific medals out there that may or may not be working anymore, so if you know of some more now would be a great day to test them.

I was never a fan of day specific medals. Having to wait 364 days for that one specific day, is a really poor idea. I know that many will disagree with me, but I am going to put it out there.

Nowadays I don't make a big deal about games with zero point medals as it's an ongoing issue, but I find this incredibly insulting as this hasn't been blammed nor deserves a place in the medals board.

Nope, still at zero. I don't know if it's worth bothering to PM the author of the game if he's going to act like a moron with his comments.

Medals should probably just be removed from this game since it's been broken for just about everybody, from a very long time ago and never been fixed.

Some of the earliest comments on the game are about how it's broken and won't load or crashes people's browsers or various error messages and I can confirm that is still the case, at least with the error messages rather than the game loading.

It's possible the people who have medals got them on an earlier version of the game.

This has been broken since way before the HTTP/HTTPS issues, so it's definitely not that.

Game should probably just be removed if the author's not gonna fix it. And considering how old this is I don't think there's good chances they're gonna fix it.

I was one of the last people to get medals on this game back in 2017, which could indicate that its an https type problem. It would make sense to try that angle before wiping all the medals.

It could be tried but I'm doubtful it'll work. Specifically because people have had problems with this game from the very start, though apparently a very few people, yourself among them, had managed to get the medals at some point in time. I do remember this game never working any time I've ever tried it (including years ago) and it still doesn't work -- you at best get to the title screen and can't proceed from there.

I don't know how you got the game to work, but can you still get it to work?

Peruse the reviews of the game itself though. Lots of problems and a very immature behavior from the game author in his responses to reviews which brought up problems with the game loading, for example his response to the very first review of the game, where that person had encountered similar problems to the exact scenario we find today. That isn't the sort of game author I would expect to fix anything.

But I guess setting to HTTP could be tried, but I'm doubtful it'll work and the game should have been blammed from day one, especially with the game author's lousy attitude.

I'm genuinely surprised that worked but it did! Game and medals can stay.

Well I don't know the game author personally, but look how when someone reviewed the game stating they couldn't get the game to load, how the game author retorted back with a personal attack on that person, mocking their artwork or whatever, which had absolutely zero to do with the game or anything and was completely uncalled for.

It's not that difficult to see how people interact with others and make a judgment on their character that way.

This game's medals are kind of wonky.

A full-filling achievement: Broken, didn't unlock after completing the described requirements.

First Blood: Broken.

This is a Secret: Don't know what the unlock conditions are.

Deathless: Broken.

Pretty Colours!: Works as described, not sure why no one had unlocked it.

They Hating: Broken, completed as described and no unlock.

I want to hate the very best: Broken, didn't unlock upon completing the described requirements.

I Really Hate This Game: Unlocked for a completely unrelated circumstance (I only played one Survival level before getting it), and no one else has unlocked it. (I got it at the same time as The Collector, I think.) Still might be worth a try though.

The Collector: I did unlock it after completing level 11 as described, but I later noticed I had never played level 6.

Might be worth a try doing some of the broken ones in survival instead of collection to see if that unlocks them (meaning just the description is wrong).

I haven't PMed the author since it's such an old project and they don't have any signs of recent activity.

I tried loading up Chill Out! Zombies with the same result. It won't load up. The game hasn't been updated since 2016. Unless there's some method for getting this game working again it really should be removed along with its medals.

There are many games with the same issues. They should all be removed. It would really help to clean up many of the broken medals.

Can we just go ahead and remove the 100% medal? It's definitely broken because the game is bugged to where you'll be marked both correct and incorrect at the same time on the art question, and this always happens, and the author keeps lying and saying "fixed!" when clearly it was never fixed ever, as you see the exact same problem and comments from reviewers again and again over time.

I mean I'd be cool with this one (and his other trivia games) just being removed entirely from Newgrounds, but at the least that medal needs removing.

Observe the latest comment a reviewer has left of the game as well as I tested it and can confirm. It never worked in Firefox but now it doesn't work in Chrome anymore either. Unpublish.

Like I said before, if your game doesn't have medals working, we understand.

However, as you can see in the attached image, a crappy game that should've been blammed does not deserve a place in the medals games when the author himself states he can't fix it.

I apologize for being anal about this game, but seeing that the blam system doesn't really work anymore, we need to do a better job moderating games that don't have medals that work because it screws up the medal count for us.

The game loaded up fine for me on Vivaldi, which uses the same rendering engine as Chrome and Internet Explorer. There are also medal unlocks as recently as October 5th of this year.

First off, Chrome and Internet Explorer do not use the same rendering engine, so this makes me automatically question the rest of your claim.

Secondly, have you tried it recently? I just tried it yet again, on Chrome, and it gets to the title screen but all you can do is click on Play and it'll make a click sound but then nothing happens and you can keep clicking Play and just keep hearing clicks but nothing else. That's not really a functional game.

Also if you look at the most recent review, clearly others have the exact same problem that the game isn't getting past the main menu anymore.

So yes, it should be fixed or unpublished. It's broken.
