-mmmmmmm... Kiss a misunderstood band. Some people say they are crap some say they're awesome. Personally I like them. "tears are falling" is my favorite song by them followed by either "Detroit Rock City" or "Love Gun".
anybody likes NOFX or mxpx cuz dere badass bands if u never heard dem and who thinks good charlotte is gay?/ lol
Im in my own band, im probly the worst out of us all tho, our lead guitarist can play insane solos, drummer goes off and bass player is alright but hes only been playin for about a year. I'm rythem guitar and I've been playin for three but because of my dedication (or lack of it) i pretty much only play open chords and thats it. But im also the singer and lyricist and i help write the music to our songs, so im still in. We arent hard rock, our songs usually have a humourous approach to them. Some of them include 'Curse of the Golden Monkey' (Our altime favourite), 'Waggin school to jam' (but we're thinking of scrapping it), and 'Don't Touch The Pan' (Inspired by an author here on newgrounds). We're currently working on a new song, not sure what its called but i think we'll call it 'Be your own valentine' or something along those lines.
Oh btw i got an insane axe, Jackson Warrior, check it out if u can find a pic of one but i heard they done make em anymore.
That's awesome! Hey d(--)b is that picture for me? Cause that is nice, and thanks. That's cool that you are in your own band, rythm guitar is cool man. It doesn't really matter if you can play solos or not. Yeah, I think Good Charlotte sucks alot
I am going to join because simply rock music is the best out there.

sampling, S6000 breakdown, C Sound, Reaktor, plugin creation. Ive learnt a lot more over the last year out of the degree than i did when i was there.
pretty much EVERY thing to do with music. If you want to chat or have any songs that you would like me to remix send me the audio files and we could have a bit of fun.
In fact that would be a cool idea. Make a really basic 2 min song send it to each other and then have everyone remix it. Howes that for an idea?
this board has now gone in my favourites

That's a awesome idea! But I don't have a program that I can edit audio files :(. I play guitar though and I could record stuff. Anyway, I have
Aria Guitar
Aria Amp
BOSS SD-1 Overdrive
try and get hold of cool edit pro, use the headphone socket to go the the line in on ur pc and then you are in business. If you can record just a sigle track say in CE or soundforge (i use that) record single tracks. Dont worry about tempo cos i can timestrech and bpm match anyways. Im currently doing some of my own Q mixes (they are those songs that have an eminem background with a nirvana vocals thing)
do whatever, it will also be a challenge for me. just send the files and then ill mix em. if i could get a load of files off everyone we will do a cracking remix and ill do a little flash video
that would be cool. Ill say sorry now. Please bare with my typos as i write these messages as fast as i can and i never go back to check over my work.
That's a great idea. Do you know where I can get this edit pro thing? Thats a cool idea with Nirvana vocals and eminem background lol
um i think i wanna join
but should i
*looks at the other members effigys*
AH what the Hell why not
Sublime
Rage Against the Machine
BloodHoundGang
G n R
NOFX
and 90's grundge style basnds

lol
im thinking of a word and edit pro thingy isnt it
i think he was saying editing program
um if ever in the dark gogle will be there to save thee
haha awesome, well welcome. Yeah I dont have a editor just a cheap little sound recorder. Hey, what do you think of Velvot Revolver? it's GNR without Axl
Hellbound NOFX is a great band. yeah i don't like all their songs but i mean "the decline" 18 minutes of punk is just awesome. You'll fit in fine. I wanted some more people that liked punk to join.
And Rholding what type of programs would you recommend. I was thinking about doing a solo project this summer since my band went belly up. And i'd like to contribute to this little idea of yours.
oh and shouldn't we decide upon a key, if there going to be any modulations, etc.

Last i heard it was like slashes snake pit
what?!?!
aXl is till alive
lol
wow i seriously thought he died way back when
well im just gonna guess they suck cause im not a fan of moder hair rock
i can handle some of he older hair bans...like 1 or 2 but the rest just suck brittish balls
it really doesnt matter what you send me cos ill pitch shift it to the key i want.
recommended programs are
Audio editors
cool edit pro 2.1
sound forge 6 - i recommend this over cool edit.
Sequencers
Pro tools - there is a free windows versionn have a look for it
logic audio - not used it for ages but very good sound production software
Cubase 5 (r5) - i own the real version of this and it has never let me down.
Cakewalk - this program is like a really cheap version of the above 3. Can get the job done but is very gay in my opinion.
dont confuse sound editors with sequencers. if you dont know the difference ill explain here
EDITOR (soundforge, cool edit, audacity, only a few i can think of for now)
I use soundforge 6. This lets you import a audio file and lets you manipulate it. Add reverb, change sampling rate, pitch shift, timestretch, normalise change to mps, wav or whatever. Sounds can be recorded into this and then exported.
SEQUENCER (cubase, logic, pro tools, cakewalk, emagic VS)
This will let you record music onto a track and then by selecting another track record another one. This will let you play a rhythm and then a solo without the other one being erased.
sequencers also come with editing facilities and in cubase they are very good. however editors are more specific and can do the job more efficiently and with more parameters. A sequencer tries to be a jack of all trades but is especially good at enabeling you to mix songs like you would ina real recording studio, hence VST (virtual studio)
cool edit i think has the option to sequence but i find that this program is a pain in the ass as it associates all your files on your pc and opens them up in it. Even if you click DONT ASSOCIATE on install it still does it. Then you have to do that open with for a few dats to stop the son of a bitch program from doing it.
If you want to have a full scale chat then get me on msn rholding2000@hotmail.com and i can further advise if you are unsure about all of this
Yeah, Hair Metal sucks. I am going to look for Sound Forge (Wrong spelling) but the one you recommended looks awesome man, add reverb etc.. that would be fucking sweet. I am going to search around for it
wow, alot of posts! well, i saw some people talkin bout punk, I LOVE PUNK! NOFX isnt bad...i like Guttermouth, old Dropkick Murpheys, Pennywise, and Bad Religion...
...also, do any of you guys listen to bands like Soul Coughing or Digable Planets? its pretty cool stuff, though i dont think youd call it rock...oh, and hows about ska? not the pussy crap like Less Than Jake, but the good stuff like Hot Stove Jimmy and Voodoo Glow Skulls...
