My lists aren't as big as yours, Chris's, ramagi's, or Jon's AND tomorrow's update will only be for the Regulars, so it wouldn't be that big of a deal, but still...the auto grabbing of data is REALLY nice.

Hey, does anyone know if it is possible to format the numbers in Excel so that any number that you put in a box will change the number from lets say "3333" to "_3333"? Any way to make the numbers go out to a certain amount of digits and put underscores in the places that don't have numbers? Just a thought, cause it would make update times 10 times easier.

No, the actual program is only 128 Kb, the rest is all VB runtime support due to it being a VB6 project with a couple of custom dlls. On the initial run it's always slow for me, but if I restarted it it usually ran near as quick as SK's program. Hmmm.

All you have to do is rank up. Since MPA is at the last rank, the only way he can gain exp is through depositing. So he has to hope for you to not rank up and miss a deposit.

Sorry, no. It only works with a numerical format. It's possible to write some =IF columns, probably take ~7 of them to do it right, to insert that, but it will insert a space as well wehn you copy and paste. Instead of

it would read something like:

_ 3333 (1 underscore with a space)
10500 (no underscores, no extra spaces)
___ 98 (3 underscores, with a space)

Ultimately, even the 5 digit entries would have to have that underscore and space added to get the posting to line up properly, making them all essentially seven characters long, or two greater than whatever your max entry happens to be.

__ 3333 (2 underscores, with a space)
_ 10500 (1 underscores with a space)
____ 98 (4 underscores, with a space)

One thing to consider is that all those additional characters may cause some post limit issues.

Ahhhh, I see. Well, that's not really gonna help, so I guess that I'll just stick with the way I'm doing it. I thought that I could get creative and let the program fill in all those little underscores for me, as that would definitely help me in the formatting phase of the lists. Currently, after I input all the new data in excel, and copy the info into a text file, all I have to do is delete the tabs and put underscores in front of the numbers that aren't the proper size.

It's probably my ancient computer's fault (or the program being 4 megs instead of a few hundred Ks, like NG Lister is, in combination with that), but it took quite some time to grab data, and I kept getting timeouts and the like. But in the end, I pulled from around 400 to around 620 on the list (well past the #500 spot so I didn't miss anyone, and am ready for next week's update, too) with NG Grabber, and even if it didn't speed things up, it prevented me from having to visually note EACH and every VP amount, as I had been doing up till then (and of course, as I did for almost a full year of VP list updating). So anyway, it was an interesting mix of nostalgic old-fashioned hard-work list updating and experimentation/experiencing Denvish's take on SK's program to finish it off. Not an entirely un-fun evening, but not the greatest day in my list updating life, either. So, there's a huge ramble for those of you who like such things! And that pretty much explains, I hope, the entire situation with both my lists for now. Depending on how the profile changes remain or continue or stay the same... and on when SK can get his code retooled... and on when I decide to update the pentalist... I may end up using Denvish's program to do the pentalist data-pulling, or I may wait until I can use SK's program. But either way, if it's a choice between manual and NG Grabber next saturday for THIS list, I'll be trying to go with NG Grabber all the way. "Everyone else" doesn't get a .14. Everyone at your relative experience receives slightly more than .13 when tacking on an extra 2%. In some cases, this is enough that it pushing them over then next rounding point so that it appears to be .14, but by no means is that even close to "everyone else."
