Yep... The only non-EGSCs that are anywhere near 13.00 VP. It's a race to see who can get there first. Hm... Bob doesn't rankup very often, but if he got motivated... the other two better watch out... Same thing can be said for _altr_... but yes, for now, the most likely to hit 13.00 VP first and become the 4th person there... is indeed YoinK. Good luck to all three, though, I hope you all manage to get some rankups and increase the power of the top 10 VP.

I'll be getting there first. I'm going to be at 13.10 VP by this weekend. I don't think Captain_bop and _altARR_ really care as of now, they will probably just pass me later like they've said months ago.

Welcome to this weekend's update of the Top 500 Voting Power List! #500 is up from 7.28 VP to 7.29 VP. The number of tracked people in the spreadsheet rose from 1274 to 1283 when I added 9 people who entered SK's top 1000 list six days ago.

There were five rankups in the top 100 VP this week. Congrats to Nostrant, Jen_the_Great (woot!), malbaugh, Denvish (again already?!), and good_guy_o. Alas, good_guy_o's rankup combined with a reversal of VP-from-exp fortunes means Mr_James has slipped back off the top 100. But I'm sure this will simply make for greater drama upon his THIRD entrance. He sure knows HOW to make an entrance... And another... and soon (I have confidence) yet another! #;-}>

Reminder: SK's lists are on hiatus, so I won't be adding anyone new to the tracking section of the spreadsheet for over a month. Hopefully things will go smoothly when he gets back to his computer and provides me with a fresh top 1000 profile ID# list that I can compare to my most recent update at that point and add anyone who's gotten high up since he stopped updating his VP list (IOW, if someone was #1001 on his last last week, I won't have noticed them... and if they rankup two or three times before January 20th or whenever, they may get up super-high in the top 1000, perhaps even to #600 or so, and if I was just watching the BOTTOM of the list when SK restarts it... I might miss them completely and they could theoretically enter the top 500 without me noticing in time... hence the profile ID# list for comparison's sake method).

In short: I only missed 2-3 months of b/p time before I found out about the b/p system and started coming to NG every day. I WISH I'd only missed out on a couple of months of exp-depositing time. Instead, I missed out on more like 30 months' worth, all told.

Aspirations? If I keep depositing exp every day, as I have been for almost two years now, I'll hit level 18 within a month, level 19 next summer, and level 20 around a year from now. Nothing to do with hopes or aspirations there... just exp system estimates and forecasts.

As for 60,000 b/p... that was a pretty damned low estimate, considering I went from 0 b/p at the start of 2003 to ~25000 b/p at the start of 2004 to ~49000 b/p at the start of 2005.

60000 at the start of 2006 would mean only 11,000 b/p in the coming year, which is a pretty low estimate, actually, even if I don't b/p much anymore. I'm pretty sure I can go from averaging 24,500 b/p for two straight years to at LEAST 11,000 the third year, yanno?

Well, that's pretty much what I said, but I wasn't going to guarantee it. After all, for all I know you might stop getting b/p for a month because you're going on vacation + gonna be busy for a good long time... and meanwhile either Bob or altr ranks up and boom, you're passed. But I still felt you were, as I said, the most likely to hit it first.

I'm going to be at 13.10 VP by this weekend. I don't think Captain_bop and _altARR_ really care as of now, they will probably just pass me later like they've said months ago.
