I'm aiming at 8 right now. By the time I hit Praporshchik, my base voting power should be good enough for the 30% boost to take me there. I'd be at 7.93 now if I had the gold badge already, so I'll more than likely hit 8 at exactly the time I rank up, unless I slow down a lot.

9 will take a lot longer. Won't be anywhere near there until I'm a Major or Lt Colonel even. By the end of the year, it could be possible. May have to run a few calculations to work it out...

You see, right now I have a 55% bonus and you have 48%... and your extra exp compared to me isn't enough to push you over me in VP quite yet.

But once we both have 55% bonuses (Which is likely to happen since you're closer to EG General than I am to EG Supreme Commander right now... though I might get to EGSC first if you slow down a bit on the b/ping), you'll be a bit ahead of me. Maybe 0.40% or so, I'm not sure. Maybe more, actually.

And even though I'll be boosting up to 60% with EGSC, that's only a 5% increase, compared to the 48%->55% 7% jump you're about to get. So don't worry, your exp advantage over me is going to keep you solidly in the Voting Power lead once we're both at EGSC, no matter how many more b/p I have than you. That is teh advantage of teh experience points. :::nods sadly:::

It's not impossible.

I went from 9.50 to 10.00 in a couple weeks. And if I'd ranked up to General at 10.00 VP instead of at 9.50 VP, I would have gotten even higher than 10.50 VP really quickly.

That's what the jump I was just talking about with Recon'll do for ya.

Also, if one of the top 20 exp people suddenly got 2 or 3 rankups (even the little ol' 2% ones) in a couple weeks, they'd probably jump by over 0.50 VP, as well.

You two should use Nemesis' VP Calculator to find out how many rank ups you need with your current exp to get to the 10.00 mark. It's not too hard... and while you will be getting more exp before those rankups happen, exp increases to VP happen so slowly that it'll be relatively accurate to just estimate it based on VP bonus from b/p. You can always add 100 or 200 to your exp if you want to be a bit closer.

You're following a very similar path to mine, young Skywalker. Only... your exp is going to be much higher than mine was at each rankup, methinks, since your exp/b/p rate ratio is higher than mine. IOW, you b/p slower than me, but deposit your 10 exp everyday, same as me. #;-}>

The bad part: longer waits for VP and new ranks...

The good part: bigger VP gains and higher overall VP once you get to those ranks.

It is a lot harder then you think, seeing as in order to get on the next update you will probably have to have at least 7.00 votting power, which I might not even be ab;e to make the cut for, though I should in the update after the next.

Yeah I always thought the leaf badges look really kick ass, I like them better then the last Badge. 10.49 is indeed very high, however I always like to look ahead so think what it will be in 3 years from now, maybe by then Tom and Wade will have made more Badge Levels and EXP levels by then I should be about your votting power, and if there are new levels you could be like 21.07 or something.

Oh so true ! The "leaf badges" (as you call them :P) are uber-kick-ass. I love your view of the near future of Newgrounds, looks really nice! I was just thinking that today, about NG Staff making more exp, whistle and badges levels and all that stuff. The website would be so so much better, and it will leave more "hope" to the "new people" and those that are now called "noobs", they will have new goals to reach, new stuff to do and all that.

It's gonna be either 7.50 or 7.00, alex, not 7.20. I prefer to go to an even 0.50 amount.

Although, in the future, I may make it the top 200 or top 250, if I feel like making the list more stable in time to complete the updates. I doubt it, though. Doing it by a VP boundary seems more fitting for this list.

Teh leaves you are referring to are a laurel wreath, I believe.

More whistle badges would be wonderful. There's not enough of them, for one thing, and too many people are at silver.

It'd be like if there were only 10 exp levels, and HT was at 10... a couple high levels were at 9... and almost EVERY regular user around here was stuck at 8. #;-}>

There needs to be an area under oyur badge where you can see how many more you have to go.
And yes we need more Badge lvls more then theJoe once needed more cowbells. I have been stuck on silver for ever! I think maybe you should get a bonus 1% of your votting power every whistle level up.

~nod~ I hated the Sergeant ranks. Even when you rank up there's still more Sergeant ranks to go. 1 or two of them really have to go get retired and be replace with Warrant Officer grades. Praporschick is an old Soviet WO title, so why they went with 5 sergeant ranks completely escapes me.

lol! I don't even know what the hell a staff sergeant is, a sergeant who likes to wave his staff around at women and children? Though I like the way my badge looks, I am not to crazy over the way the next one looks.

Well, you'll get to 7 first if your rank is no higher than 21 (Colonel?) when you hit it. Get to the general ranks and your bonus will be 44% (sending the 7 up to 10.08, as opposed to 9.94 with the Colonel rank), sending you over 10.

So you need to get your base to 7 (which will be when you're about half way through 17 - a couple of months?) before you get c.5000 more points. If I was a betting man, I'd go for the base of 7.

As much as I agree about there being too many Sergeant ranks... at least they're only 1000 point ranks, not higher ranged gaps...
