Yay, a great week!

To start with, we've got three more new members; saramary3, joeyjoah and ToastedToastyToast, so welcome to them! Also, only two members (excluding me...) were inactive and only one member didn't post throughout the week. Furthermore, the max amount of RRC reviews on one submission was 5, which is quite a good number. Stats are looking good, and as usual SCTE3 manages to fill in all the requests, but there's nothing new there :P.

Most of the reviews were done by SCTE3 but saramary3, Coop, aliaspharow and sixflab did a solid amount of reviews each and joeyjoah, ToastedToastyToast and Haggard helped out by each doing two, one and one review respectively.

Two notes: firstly, I made a really small change. Before it used to say "****: User has been inactive for the last four weeks". I removed that because after 3 weeks a member would be excluded from the list before four stars are put next to his/her name anyway. Quite late to notice it but whatever :P.

Secondly, at ToastedToastyToast and joeyjoah - both the points you posted were incorrect, for some reason. Remember that to get the points for the week, you have to go to the latest requests list and review the Flash, Audio and Art Requests on it. If you review Extra Audio Requests, or review any requests before/after the latest requests list, then you won't get any points for the week.

And that's about it. I may have made a mistake here and there because I did this update really quickly due to a thunderstorm outside which is threatening to fry my computer if I don't safely turn it off soon. But other than that, enjoy the update!

Yay new members :D do i hear RRC comeback? Lol to be honest the only reason i really joined again is cuz i saw that the club was getting low on members and no one wants to see this club die. Lol yeah you're only supposed to review whats on the list at that time. The reason your points didnt count is because the requests you had reviewed we're the ones waiting to be listed on the next request list. So you'll only have less requests to review this week.

Not to say your system sucks, but that doesn't seem very fair to the artists. Why must they wait a week or so to get reviews? I remember the people just being happy to get a review, because the rest of the club wasn't reviewing their submission.

Either way, I might be a bit inactive this week, I have a lot to do and I've done most of what's on the list.

It's pretty much the only practical way. If we didn't have requests lists and every member would just review stuff as it comes, then it'd be much easier to forget a request, and also with the requests list we can easily see how many individual requests we have for the week, whereas we all have to count how many requests there are without those lists.

Not only that, but without the requests list and the week's wait, everything would be disorganised. What happens if 1 hour before I update for the week, someone posts a new request, and most members don't manage to see it on time?

Anyway, as SCTE3 said, everyone in the club is more than welcome to review stuff that were posted after the requests list.

Don't worry, we've had this system for years and it has rarely failed us :P.

I'd say so too. These numbers aren't amazing but they are much better than some of the previous updates that we've had. Hopefully it can stay this way and I can continue to review when I can. I already reviewed the art request from Aigis that we missed as I don't like to see someone go without a critiquing when asked. So now that we should be back on track I have some time this week to tackle some of the requests from this latest list.

Well technically this idea might work if there was some sort of minimum amount of characters for a review, encouraging people to write a decent review, but I very much doubt anyone on Newgrounds would like that, because the very reason popular Flash/Audio/Art have thousands of reviews is because random people see/hear them, and give a one-liner review saying whether they liked it or not. If we had a minimum character limit, the amount of reviews would decrease tremendously, and let's all face it; even though artists prefer long, thoughtful reviews, we all like the support/feedback you get from one-liners.

And if your idea is implemented without a minimum character limit, then loads of people would no doubt spam-review to get their points up. So the problem isn't your idea, but it's how Newgrounds will take it.

Anyhow that's my opinion on it. You can suggest it to the admins but I don't think they're accepting any more suggestions at this point because they've locked the suggestions thread.

Yeah, like what Steph said. Ever since I joined back up with the club again i've only been reviewing about 5 a week. It's nice to review the whole list but it isn't practical if you get busy or don't have the time.

An idea just came to my mind: It would be really cool if the genres would be listed next to the audio requests. SCTE, I know you use a program to make the request lists, would it possible to contact the programmer of this nice little tool (sorry, I forgot who it was) to have this implemented?
Sometimes I want to review some audio but have to click through various requests to find a genre that I like and that I can give some serious feedback on.
I know, in the past I reviewed every request without paying attention to the genre. But now that my reviewing time is so limited, I'd rather spend it on music I REALLY enjoy (and just to be on the safe side: I respect EVERY artist who puts hard work into their songs and showcase it here on Newgrounds! It's just that one person can't like every genre the same way ;) ).

did someone talk about Reason? Certainly wasn't me, I use Sibel- WOAH, what's this?

I guess I'm using Reason now, better get used to good soundfonts and dynamics now!

The song is a WIP for the time-sig contest Kirbyfemur is throwing, I'd like to get the public's opinion before posting the official song, and I'd also like feedback on the production, since I'm quite new to sequencing.
