Also requests don't exactly work like that. You can only request reviews for work that you have submitted or worked on yourself.

What is it with all these audio requests? When I used to be a contributor back in the day, I don't even remember there being and audio portal. I like music and all but I am having trouble reviewing a lot of these audios because I don't know anything about music or instruments. If it seems like my audio reviews are kind of half ass it is strictly because all I can really talk about it whether or not it fit my personal preference, because I just don't know what good music is, other than whether or not I like it.
Sorry for the double post everyone but I doubt I will make it on tomorrow with it being Easter, and me having to work all day. Just in case the member list comes out tomorrow and I miss it, I am done for the night and as of right now I have counted up 55 points for myself. If I review more tomorrow and the member list hasn't been posted I will update with a new count of my own points but as of right now that number is accurate.

That's the same dilemma that a good number of the other members are in. Because music isn't their expertise, they have to write reviews based solely on whether they enjoy the song or not.
But unfortunately, there's not much we can do about it. The Audio Portal is extremely underrated, and audio artists will want criticism on their work just like any other artist.
My advice is to keep on reviewing. Making music yourself will help a lot, but even if you keep reviewing music, you'll find it a lot easier to distinguish what's good and what's bad in a song.

Yeah, your recent reviews look pretty good. They still leave some room for a bit more detail, but they're well-written. Remember that most of the requests are Audio Requests, though, so you might have to get used to writing those too.
For now I'd suggest waiting for the next requests list which I'll be posted today or tomorrow, and then reviewing from that list. When you feel like you're done from reviewing, post your points in this thread before the next update which is in another week. If you need any explanation on how the system works, just say so.

Yes you do. Your Audio Reviews could use some work if you plan on filling in Audio Requests for the club too, but on the whole your Flash Reviews are great, and you take the time to see where the artist can improve too.
So yeah, you can join! If you're unsure about the system, just post in the thread and me or any of the other members will help you out.

Hi there guys. I've only been on NG for a bit, but I know what it's like to ccrave a good review from someone. I'd like to start giving back to the community a bit. Think there's a spot for me in the Review Crew?
Alright I just went through and finished reviewing everything from the list on page 170. Hopefully next week is more flash because I really miss reviewing a lot of flash in this club. I think I am starting to get the hang of this audio reviewing thing, but now I've decided that I find art to be the hardest. Either way I tallied up 84 points for myself this week. I believe that is correct as I have to start getting used to adding the RRC tag at the bottom of my reviews. I know that I missed a few of them in my reviews this week. If I have time tomorrow I will start on the new requests for this week.

I suppose it makes sense why this place has so many audio requests - reviews are hardly written for audio - but audio is so hard to review. 'I liked the part where the thing went whoosh! and then the chorus. I didn't like the shazam! in the middle, it didn't add much to the song.'
On another note, should things only be reviewed by one member of the club each, or what? I ask this mostly because it would be somewhat weird to see twenty '- Review Request Club-'s on one submission. I'm guessing that people can review each submission individually, though.

I miss the days where each request would get 5+ reviews. Now we kind of scrape by with all the audio. A lot of club members being busy and not a lot of free time to go around hasn't helped either. I've been really lax since i've rejoined but today and tomorrow i'll be contributing some.
Newest song. The only thing I ask when you review this song is to review based on composition and not what genre I have placed it in. It's labelled drum n' bass because in several aspects it merges over with the underlying definition of drum n' bass.

This is a comic page I'd really like some critique on, in both the actual art within it, and things like readability, paneling and the like (also whether the page achieves what it sets out to do). I'm planning on drawing more comics in the future, so I'll take any advice I can get.

Generally we try and do as many RRC reviews per submission as possible. It is a bit weird seeing loads of Review Request Club signatures at the end of detailed reviews on a song page, true, but if you see it from the artist's perspective, you'll realise that the more reviews an artist gets from us, the better, and we're doing this for the artists, not to make song pages look weird xP.

True :(. I miss the days before those days, when I used to happily do almost all, if not all of the requests every week, and feel satisfied after making it to the 'All Requests Completed' section of Sonofkirk's updates, along with Coop, Haggard, Corky and other members, among them Insanimation and Soapbubble. Now in the time of my GCSE's I find it hard to write one decent review.
Oh well, club members burn out after a while. It happens to everyone.

And here's the update! A definite comeback from last time: we have three new members, to start with; Tokecat, a new member and aliaspharow and head2toewinners who were both old RRC members. Additionally, two people finished all of the requests this time, and the maximum amount of RRC reviews on a request was five. Stats are looking good too.
Note: some of the new members didn't post their points but I added them anyway because they did at least one review.
As for bad news, two members were inactive: Coop and Haggard, with Coop risking inactivity in another week. Secondly, Andre has been excluded due to four weeks of inactivity. Bye man :(.
But heck, other than that this is a great update compared to our previous ones. Props to SCTE3 and head2toewinner for filling in all of the requests, aliaspharow for doing 5/8 of the Audio Requests and sixflab and Tokecat for pitching in a bit and doing at least one review.
Also I managed to review one request so I'm not entirely inactive, yippee :3. That makes me an inch closer to that blessed 3,000 total points milestone, but SCTE3 is easily catching up with the massive 100% streak he's been doing so far.
So yeah, enjoy the update guys, and let's hope the next update is as good as this one!

It may look like I've just not given a fuck for a while, but I have been very busy. Now to make things count and get myself up into shape for reviewing again. If anyone wants to request Art for Review, that would be appreciated as well :)
It's awesome to see the update come out. I miss when I used to be in here making the reviews and most of the members would have time to be 100%, but I guess it is time to get back into it and complete this weeks set, even with the fact that I have finals going on this week and next. After that though everything will be a little simpler. I will have the time to get back on NG more often and hopefully get ahead of the requests a little bit.
Unlike you guys, with your stupid 'lives', I have absolutely nothing important to do this week (besides education, which doesn't take up the entire day).
