Very rarely, the dock gets destroyed but no shark appears. In my case, this caused a never-ending stream of wooden platforms to appear. You'd be incredibly clumsy to not get the jump streak medals in that state. I have no idea how to trigger it though.

Still, if you're one of the people who still needs the 200x medal, I can personally confirm that it is possible to obtain legitimately.

I came close several times, hence the rage quit a long time ago. The yellow bouncy things just need to be hit on the left edge while pressing left. With a cache of bombs, you can hit grass and hit the shark if you have trouble getting away in time. There's no reason why you couldn't hit 200 normally, I just ran out of patience. If a glitch presents itself, I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth, so to speak.

Well that's a frustrating little game, isn't it? Just when you think you're getting somewhere, you run outta raindrops. Plus, it doesn't help that if you use short bursts, you use up a buncha fuel to get your upward momentum again. And don't even get me started on plummeting to your doom, and trying to slow yourself.

It's not a bad game, but an upgrade system would'a made it a lot more fun.

Not every game is about upgrades. The way to go is to go slow, using constant short bursts to gain a gradual increase in height without allowing yourself to fall. Think about it. Rate of raindrops falling is independent of how fast or high you go. It should be pretty clear that it is in the player's interest to go slowly and collect more raindrops with a minimal expenditure of fuel.

It's really easy once you get it.

I gotta futz around with it more, because it seems like a lot of people according to the reviews are saying the exact same thing. I just need to get the hang of it. Unfortunately, I've been spoiled with other games in the same vein as this that have upgrade systems, so that's why I thought it would be better with those (like getting more fuel capacity, better speed, slower fuel rate drops, etc.).

I should'a played it a bit more before posting about it, but I got frustrated. :)

Before I make one, would anyone be interested in a guide for Symphonic Tower Defense? Of course, I still have things to work out myself in that challenging (IMO) game.

Personally I don't think there's really much to be said about that game given its simplicity. Obviously you will want the two rows of towers to be symmetrical. First go for one tower of each colour (or maybe 4) in each row so that the specials start charging, then place 3 decrescendos. Start from the 3rd grid from the left so that you don't waste the full range of the towers. After that, just add/upgrade towers, place the other 3 decrescendos, and use specials as they charge. Same formula every round, just lean more towards the 'emphasized' colour of the particular track. If you're really in trouble, spam a couple of rests (the other music attacks are worthless)

Even the last track on hard mode was easy.

There is a reason Narcissus isn't on the top medal points list. I really believe the guy is very good at certain games, but also does like to cheat every once in a while. Kind of lame, but to each his own I guess.
