Fucking hell. I FINALLY got it with Bob, after getting caught in Wadolf's laser 4 times, at least once when I should have been clear of it based on where we both were. Now I can never look at that game again, having just gotten enough frustration out of it to last me for years.

Seriously, between April, Dan and Bob it took 7 tries before I finally got it, and every failed attempt involved Wadolf not acting as I expected him to in some way. Enough of that noise!

Epic Battle Fantasy 2: How the hell do you get 5000 points in minigame 1? There isn't enough time. I always always always run out of time around 4600pts. This is really fucking hard for a 10 point medal. What the hell?

Lots of good timing with down and then left or right. It is doable. Line up a lot of monsters, hit them, rinse, repeat. I think there are videos of people doing it online.

Takes a while, but once you get used to it, you learn to pull it off easily.

That reminds me. I have to finish up Epic mode in that game. Last 3 times I played it I either got killed by double nukes, or insta-deaths by the hydra.

YouTube has video of minigame gameplay, but not of anyone getting enough for a medal as far as I can tell. All I need out of that game now are the minigame medals and the hard/epic tier medals.

I'm kinda surprised that you had so many points, it seems like you left a lot of games unplayed...
Anyway, if you already didn't, check out both walkthroughs, if I remember correctly they have some tips for the minigames (and of course the whole game, although mine is waaaaaaay longer and covers pretty much every single aspect of the game).

I used to say "What the hell?!" toward my screen too, but the key is to always kill and to not stop moving! The more you kill, the more pop up. (You were probably one wave away). I personally love the jump slash move for getting rid of a crowd, but the good old long range stab is what you should use mainly. I actually found the 10 point medal harder than the others, but maybe that was just my luck. Good luck to you! You'll definitely get it eventually.

Yep. That's the main reason I wasn't ever expecting to make it up above 40th. There were 5 games I didn't have any medals in at all, a couple I'd only gotten one or two (figuratively) in, and a bunch with hard medals I didn't feel like putting the time in for. All I've really done to further my cause over the last several months is to keep up to date on new games coming out; I've always been about 6k points behind the leaders until I started making an effort to pick off the medals I've been missing.

tomorrow is wednesday, I hope for a new game with medals!

Semi-relevant: don't use the ion cannon during the sandworm battle on Epic difficulty. ...it won't end well for you.

Ion cannon is only to be used during the final boss fight if you're absolutely certain that you'll kill the guy after activating it...and even then, it's a pretty big risk you're taking.
Also, about EBF3, who the hell told you that it's coming out soon?Although just by checking Matt's news post you can see that most of the enemies and/or weapons are done, the actual animations are nowhere to be seen, so....

Hey, before I make another attempt at it, is the Hydra immune to blinding on Epic difficulty? I cast flare twice and used a Blind unleash twice, and nothing good came of it. By which I mean I didn't get a chance to try a third time.

Remember that you can still get them and even if they aren't worth anything now they will change to the proper point totals when the game is approved. (even on your account) If they aren't accepted in a few days I'll email Tom. He usually emails me back the next day or two about these topics.
