Oh?Haha, this is pretty funny, you have more points than me on NGlogs, but less on NG...
I'm pretty happy that "The Apprentice" medal finally worked...the other one was really easy, so I managed to get exactly to 40k...now, to get the rest of the working medals of Valthirian Arc...and then I can finally rest for a while :P

I just got 40010 on MonsterTime with the Tazer medal. A few more medals off a game I'm rather bad at. I'll take it! And frankly, I'm surprised I got any off Bomb Diggity. So bad a game... it would be bearable if your character didn't slide all over the place.

For MonsterTime, how feasible is it to kill off the enemies on level 1 and then just wait for bonuses? I mean, it would take FOREVER, but would it work?

Agreed...also, gratz.

No, I don't think so...enemies respawn, so killing some only saves you time to complete the current level...
Also, strange fact: my Valthirian Arc medals, even the ones giving me points, still don't show up on the game's page...

Awesome, man! Now you just have another 5000 to go to get all the current medal points. :p

Agreed on bomb dignity. It sucks. I've only been able to rescue a little over 50 citizens before I get my ass kicked by all the henchmen. The only advice I can offer is to know where the platforms are to jump on so you can get to the citizens quicker.

As for Monster time, I don't know. I never had an easy time getting items when there were little to no monsters on the stage. I say just forget it, and use the items sparingly if you can. What really helped me with that game is using those monsters to send the monster parts tumbling from the top all the way down. Just work on the timing for that and should do well.

Does anybody have an idea which map is the best for hard skirmish medal in Shellcore? I keep playing Alpha and try to defend and amass turrets but i always lose energy.

Medium sized map is your best bet, like Delta. You got room to work with in it and not much travel to get to the extractors.

Build up defenses, save energy, take over a few enemy extractors, and then take an armada of 6 or more heavy drones to the the enemy's base and destroy it - skirting along the outer edge of the map to reach it, avoiding most of the enemy's defenses.

Well, I'm down to just the 200,000 point medal on MonsterTime. I'm sure at some point I'll feel like grinding it out. I think the key is to finish the first playthrough using as few acids and tazers as possible, so you have lots of them in reserve for the second time around. Having only played the game with any degree of seriousness for the last few hours, I'm not quite there yet. Another time.

And that's yet another game which is down to just one final, really hard medal for me. That brings the total such games to 9.

I must be the only person around here who finds bomb diggity fun and enjoyable. It's not that hard after you have memorised the map.

It's fun until later in the game due to the glitches. Time is essential, so the "do a stomp and get stuck in the ground" type glitches ruin the game. Or "you're freeing the guy but the meter doesn't move" situations. It would have been nice if they fixed some of these issues.

Response to Newgrounds Medals - Games and Tips 2010-05-11 09:19:05

Hmmm. I don't recall any glitches in that game...

Do a downward stomp near a citizen. You'll get stuck in the ground. That's the most obvious glitch. There are times where if you try to free a citizen, you'll make the motion that you're freeing them yet no progress is made.

Also, the uppercut is the most useless move in the game. It does no damage and completely prevents your character from moving in any direction.

I agree with all of you. Also, the author says that he increased the friction to make it less slidy. But doesn't that make it even more slidy?

Increased friction would imply a stronger opposing force when "sliding", making things less "slidy".

EON has fixed CF2 so that if you unlock something on one computer, you get the unlocked stuff if you play on another computer.

That's awesome. I only need the Pacifist medal though.

Go to the lava level, and just jump around endlessly. You'll get it. Just make sure you don't accidentally press down, or you'll curb stomp someone and it will all be over.

If it were a curb stomp, it would insta-kill the enemy. Pretty sure it's just a regular stomp.

Ok then, thanks. For now I tried what the guide said, trying to get it in the monkey level. Didn't work out well.

Would sneaking up behind the enemy base and spamming siege turrets there work?It always worked in Story, but I dunno.

Shit...the map is fucking massive...I can't do all this stuff without a video walkthrough, it already feels like I did everything I could to find the gems, but I'm only halfway through D:

Well you'd better get to finding, I'm pulling away from you again. Currently sitting at 40,400 after getting some Portal Defender medals.

Dunno. I always preferred using heavy drones because of their mobility to avoid some hits, and you can drag a bunch of them at one time. They also seem to have more armor than the siege towers to me; plus, they don't cost that much more.

Portal Defenders? You didn't get the medals for the very first medal game ever made?Wtf man.
Also, my choices are grim...MonsterTime, Santa Fu, Dale&Peakot, EON and Redder....I really don't want to play any of these :(

I got angry with the game for me being bad at it, because my attacks weren't correctly timed and weren't going off. Today I needed to blow off some steam, so I fired it up after watching a playthrough video and made it to Waldof twice with Tom, but no further. So basically I have every medal you can get in that game without actually having beaten the game. I'll pick it up later. Then maybe I'll find out I'm not as bad at Armed Prophet as I used to be too; the possibilities are endless!

I used to blow at both Armed Prophet and Portal Defenders, but as soon as I managed to "get the hang of them". they were as easy as "It's a nice day today"...

Well I've been bugging people in the medal ranking thread, but I can not get the Time Fcuk voting medal...

Did 500 votes on one map over and over, no credit.
Did 500 votes on DIFFERENT maps, no credit.

I'm wondering if clicking the "Levels" makes it so that the vote doesn't get added up? That is how I have been selecting levels, by clicking the thumbnail and loading each map.

I suppose my only other option is to start a bunch of Explore campaigns and vote on all of those... but I sincerely dread that.

Just wondering how everyone else got this medal. chris-marks said he got it by voting on one map over and over, but that was long ago. Has anyone replicated that lately?
