A few people complained that it wasn't logging properly, although I haven't seen it myself. The medals registered for me the first time. I'd give it a few more tries. Maybe try Pop-Up mode or something. And yes, that is what a streak is. Make sure you're performing a show, and not just in practice or learning a cover.

Yeah, I got the medals after a while...they didn't work until two days ago...
They've been fixed, so it's wierd that you can't get them...

That's the one. I tested a while ago to see if it would work with 5 zombies, an at that time it still wouldn't go. I'll ping the author about it.

i give up trying to do the 500 rift in POM along with learn all the covers... it cant be done with the ammount of lag im getting... it will freeze for two seconds and my score rating will be in the red... then it will work for about 5 seconds then freeze again... along with the sound cutting out here and there... cant be done on my computer :(...

I've gotten all the medals except for learning all the covers, which I'm not going to attempt given the massive amount of lag. And my computer's pretty fast. And I'm running in low quality with everything turned off that can be turned off and is relevant. So I'm going to just cut my losses and quit while I'm not frustrated. 450/500 in one night isn't too bad.

As for the game itself, I'm not so sure it's bad as it is too grindy. It's a great idea, but the implementation ended up being kind of poor because you're specifically going after medals, which means lots and lots of boring repetition. It's a fine line to be sure, but I think it has to fall under the category of worse than it could have been, but better than it could have been.

It was a fun completion, but the medals are extremely hard to get. I don't see myself ever getting 2 of those medals. Possibly 3.

Holy crap, a game even bigger than Punk-O-Matic! Guys, what if this is a pattern?! Next week, 40 MB game! But nonetheless, it is a fun game.

Well, I got justBEATit and 3K9, and I may be able to get the juggle one in Survival mode, but I seriously doubt I'll even attempt the two score medals. The mines are too hard to navigate with the mouse, and the arrow keys aren't sensitive enough for serious play.

Note that the 3K9 medal will NOT pop up in-game, as it would draw attention from gameplay. Also note that it has to be done in the main game, not survival mode. Can anyone verify whether the 1500 in normal medal is for attaining the score at some point, or finishing with it?

Heh, I wonder. I finished the game with a score of 185. I don't think I even got to 300 at any point during the game.

Well, about Mbot, I lied. I can only get 1 medal. I have tried several times to get the combo, and my best are 48 and 47, then it ends abruptly. I also can not seem to get z dog more than twice per game. Every time I try to chain a combo together, some enemy ends up flying across the screen somehow, because when enemies get shot in the air, they move in all 4 directions randomly for some reason. And half the time, when my bar is full yellow, I let the chain end, and I still get no power-up.

My best score on MBOT was 985. I got hit maybe 5-10 times. Most being on the boss when I couldn't even see myself get hit.

And the picture below is the reason Punk-O-Matic 2 is bullshit. If you play a song perfectly until the last 30 notes, and then stop, then your "awesome gauge" (for lack of a better term) drops down below Awesome and you don't get to learn the song. There was a song at the Stadium which I got over 90% on, and strung together a combo over 300 notes long, but because I tanked at the end I didn't get to learn the song. That is bullshit right there. It means that because some songs are really hard at the end (and lag prevents you from seeing how to play them), you have to spend forever figuring out how to not drop down. At 25 cover songs learned, I'm done with trying to learn them.

With that out of the way, it's obvious that a lot of work went into trying to make the game immersive. There are lots of things to do, and a ton of voice acting was done in order to finish the game. So while I'm officially giving up on the 30 cover songs medal until someone posts video of the songs slowed down so you can actually see what it is you're supposed to be doing (the notes move too fast to tell when they hit the circles), I may still go back to hang out everywhere as much as I can, to see what cleverness they added. It's there and what I've seen of it is amusing, so why not?
