It's actually not that hard. I just finished it on expert dying once only. Bit tricky but not to bad, The mid boss is the hard part.

Best weapon btw is Shurikens, least for me. It makes the last boss easy as hell

If I can beat 5 Minute Shooter without getting hit I should be able to manage this!
Besides this is more fun than Dadgame IMO.

Granted this one is a bit more like a touhou (bullet hell) shooter then 5 min shooter was.

Oh and before I forget, if you get the best upgrade and get hit, you downgrade to the previous upgrade and dont die. So technically you can get hit twice before dieing so long as you got the best upgrade.

I think the way to do this is to get the form that shoots homing missiles and then avoid all other forms for the rest of the game, since they are inferior by virtue of not being homing missiles.

well shurikens let you concentrate on dodging the attacks seein as their homing, but i found the missles just as useful. They pretty much tear through most enemies and hurt the bosses way faster then the shurikens can. Only problem with the rockets is that so many are fired you cant see incoming attacks from enemies

Well anyway, beat Expert with 1 death, it was just me not paying attention at the final boss.

My favorite weapon is the lazor, it's really good at destroying enemy missiles.

Havent tried using them at max upgrade yet. They fire way to slowly for me to be any useful.

How'd you beat the mid boss without gettin killed though? His attack when he gets to bout 50% health always hits me at some point.

I stand corrected. It's actually not that hard once you know how the various missiles move, and it looks like getting hit by the purple dots doesn't kill you. Just make sure you stick with the shurikens the whole way through, or you WILL be screwed.

This. I havn't had any problem getting past the first boss without getting hit. Just sit at the bottom left corner while he shoots, and slowly move up all the way to the top and then move all the way right. Don't do it all in one motion or you will be stuck in the top right corner getting hit.

Sorry for the double post. The above was for the 2nd boss, not the first.

And a few other notables. The pink dots do hurt you. I read above somebody saying they didn't but i just went to test it quick. Also worth mentioning that your hands and legs are not part of your hit target. If anything hits them, it doesn't take away health.

Maybe we just caught it while they were testing medals for this game. I got the 3 easy ones as well, and i'd be willing to bet theres medals for like score over 500K, getting all the checkpoints, getting none of the checkpoints, and of course beating it without falling once.

I think that the admins have to manually update the page to show the medals.
Also, there are no medals for scoring over 500k (or 750k, for that matter), or getting all of the checkpoints. 800k, on the other hand...
I think getting no checkpoints and not failing once would probably not exist together, as the first pretty much assumes the second.

You can't catch him, right?
Every time you run past him, he runs the other way. This allows you to keep hitting him before he runs off the edge of the screen.

Play it again? I got 208k, but the all-time scores list has a top score of 499k or so, so it's definitely possible to rack up the points somehow. Probably has something to do with massive combos.

Anyways, I just had a solid run at it. Surprisingly it only took 5/6 runs. Got 3rd on the all time score list. I don't think that 400K score is legit..

Easy way to do this is once he losses half his health and turns into a ball, don't hold fire but press it frequently. This will kill the missiles and combo up quickly and not take too much health away from the boss. I got 102K before all the extras, so if my math is right, you only need to score 60K in game to get the medal (assuming you are playing on expert and you don't die)

That Ashura game is kinda hard...
