Yeah, ramagi's response rate fell down as well. She reviewed Guardian's flashes and didn't get a single response from them. Me, I reviewed 3 flashes and got 2 responses, which is alright. However, I got beaten by KWASLite with number of responses. :P

Don't even get me started on that guy, let's just say he seriously pisses me off with his review spamming, it's complete utter crap and msot of them don't make any sense at all.

His excuse? His main language is French. Either he:

a) Writes much less reviews but keeps them crappy.
b) Writes the whole review in french so that it's much longer(the author can use a translator)
c) Uses a translator to translate his reviews from French to English and then posts them(he can always leave a comment explainging that he doesn't speak fluent English and that's why it might not have made sense)

If he sticks a the method he currently uses, imagine the horror when we see this as the top 3 reviewers:

For all you crazy response cravers out there, PiePie, is another user who responds to all reviews.

Of course that means It'll be even longer till I move up a place in The Top 100 Reveiewers list, but oh well, at leats those shitty reviews are gone :D

Yeah, Guardian not responding to reviews. If she bothers reviewing my flashes, I will try and not respond to her reviews, unless I get bored or want to respond to another review.

Well translators usually give very crappy translations, but it´s better then writing thousands of one-liners. Also, he did replied to Afro_Stud and my post with about 5 lines in pretty decent English, so he can´t tell me that he isn´t able to write a decent review.

Yes, I felt the same way, as it could be taken that I'm trying to damage the movie's overall review score.

Of course I wasn't and no-one that knows me would actually think that that's what I was up to.

But it is the best way to get your full review out there.

The only other way would be to write it somewhere else and then in your review just provide the link to the review's location. But we're not allowed to do that so...

If I had a too long review, I would probably just email the author the full email.

But that one would only work for the 'smaller' artists on Newgrounds. If you e-mailed the bigger names, like those who make submissions that reach the top 50, it would be unlikely that they'd even read the e-mail, considering the amount that they get at times. Particularly around the time of their submission first breaking the top 50 or it being submitted.

Yes, they do give crappy translations, particularly when translating to or from English, due to how crap the English language actually is, we have far too many words that mean the same/similar thing and too many words that are exactly the same but mean multiple things. It's one of the hardest languages to learn in the world due to that fact and that's why the translations always suck.

Thing is he could use the translator and afterwards he could e-mail the translated text to me and I'd happily sort it out so that it makes grammatical sense.

Like my translated French review, I showed it to someone who speaks fluent French afterwards and they said that they could understand it perfectly despite the few grammatical errors here and there.

Also he could leave a note in his review explaining he only speaks French and that he's had to use a translator. The author would then know why the grammar isn't perfect and they'd appreciate it. In fact they'd appreciate it a lot since he's gone to the bother of using a translator to write a review for them.

Indeed. that's the longest piece of text I've ever seen him write and he didn't repeat himself and it was perfectly understandable, okay it wasn't grammatically perfect but it was still a good enough post, also considering the BBS text space is larger, had he wrote that much for a review, it would have been about 7 lines long.

The fact that what he wrote wasn't grammatically perfect as it was, is another reason why he should use a translator, since the translated text would be as grammatically correct as his posts/reviews are already.

You know, part of me is beginning to think that RemRulzz is just an alt account of KWAS that he's made just to piss us all off further.

I don't think I'll be writing all those reviews I was wanting to this week, I got let back into college yesterday, so I'm having to sort out my sleep pattern again and at the moment I'm only getting about 3 hours sleep a night, which leaves me tired all day.

I've also been given a mountain of coursework to do, which they want in on Friday. But I should be writing reviews again from Saturday/Sunday forwards.

That's if my internet stops being a bitch, I keep losing my connection after 2 minutes or so of being online, then when I finally get it back, the pattern continues. Bah >:(

There's a video games review club now, although there isn't a review club for anything else. Other than that, I'm not sure if we need rule 6 since peoplw who just see this thread will most likely think of it as a review club for NG flashes (maybe audio as well) only. Oh, two things I forgot to mention:

1. The response authors makred * next to their name are the ones that most likely won't respond anymore or won't respond for a long time. Those authors might have to be removed on the next update. I know there are others that havn't responded to reviews for a long time, but I was fully concentrating on getting the lists done instead of checking which authors havn't responded recently.

If you see an author that's on the responses list and hasn't responded for a while, you might want to leave it (if you want a higher response rate) or just review their flashes anyway whether they'll respond or not.

2. I removed XwaynecoltX from the responses list, because he wasn't responding to reviews much lately. Sorry about that ~X~.

Yeah, but when you write a complicated review, most people say it was abusive because you dont follow the trend that others have written. Havent people heard of free speech. How do you critasize a movie everyone likes without facing ridicule?

Do you mean a long helpful review that gives constructive critism to the flash author? If so, then people don't mark your review abusive, but unhelpful instead since they are probably idiots. However, if there were some things in the review that broke the review rules, then people do have a right to mark that review as abusive.

Wha? I don't get what you mean here. When you write a long review, most people mark it as helpfull cause you at least put some time in your reviews. It does happen sometimes that if you give a popular flash a bad review score, people mark it has unhelpfull, but it would be stupid if they mark it as abusive (they get their whistles thrassed after all and your review stays anyway).

Anyway, you should give good arguments and such if you want to critisize good movies. If you just write a long review with: This sucks and things like that all the time, I can imagine why people mark it as unhelpfull. ("This sucks, because...." would be better).
