Black Metal Grimclub

[ElGhoulio]

This is a club for either black metalheads, or really black/doomy death metalheads. To distance this club from the metal hell, the metal hell is turning into more of a middle of the road club, meant for listeners of more accessible metal. This is for metalheads who want to talk about black metal and really cult death/doom/whatever metal.

Rules:

1. No spamming
2. Try to keep conversation on topic, i.e. talking about Goregrind or thrash is looked down upon
3. No harrassment. If you don't like black metal, don't post here. Simple as that.

How to join: Post the fav. black metal bands you listen to (there are a few acceptable bands of other genres, but we know who they are) and simply ask to join. It's that simple. I won't stop you (though i will discourage you if I think you're not fit to join, I won't stop you; if you can post on topic, who cares?)

Sweet, new members already. Heidenreich are kinda symphonic, if you're into those types. I was considering putting Ulver there, but I like them more for their later stuff. If you're into epic black metal, check out Summoning.

As Ghoul already mentioned, it's mostly introductory metal in there. A lot of the discussion in there isn't really suited to people with more extreme tastes anymore.

And Utz, you're in, but I would discourage it. If you're into death metal, but want that bleak as fuck doom/death atmosphere, I'd suggest you check out Deteriorot.

I do not use a real bass, but a synthesized bass line to enhance the low-end of the guitars.

btw, has anyone of you heard Samael's "Ceremony of the Opposites"? Their first experimental album, before they turned into electronica (which I don't like)

Pretty much. The only reason I formed the Nu-Metal/Metalcore club is because the discussion of those two genres is actively discouraged in Metal Hell.

You and ondskapelson are in. You know the admittance policy of this club: Post your bands and you're in. No requirements, really.

And to Jarry and Will, though discussion of this type of metal isn't frowned upon in the 'hell, it just isn't practiced. Nobody talks about bm in that club, so I formed a new club for the bm lovers, since it's such a broad genre. And yes, Will, I have gooch on MSN. PLease gtfo of my club unless you are gonna be a productive poster.

Ahhh, I'm not asking for your list overall, just your favorite bands list.

Anywho, I got m' cymbal pad back from Roland. More recording to ensue. Plus, I might get another cymbal pad. Wanna keep things interesting.

2 things: Anybody have any news on Ulver's string remake of Nattens Madrigal? And does anybody have any news concerning Nargaroth's Semper Fi, which has been delayed for a while?

I also like Enslaved's old material more, "Frost" is my favourite album by them. Still, I liked "Below the Lights" quite a lot and I hope "Ruun" sounds more like this one.
