FOSS stands for Free Open Source Software
The concept of FOSS is that since there are a lot of developers several things will occur:
1)People will develop it quickly, because ANYONE can improve it
2)If you need a plugin for it you can just make it yourself since you have access to the code, you can just ask a developer to do it since they have access to the code as well
3)By looking at the code you can learn a lot
FOSS is not a new concept, a lot of things run by it today, Linux and Firefox are the 2 most widespread software that are handled with FOSS.
On the flash forum, the best known "FOSS thread" so far was probebly "I've made a jumping engine for all
Instructions
-Start your thread's name with FOSS:
-These are a lot farer from tutorials then AS: Main is, these are 100% code
-Despite the last instruction, it should be well documented and explained, explain the code, not the concept
-ANYONE may make their FOSS: thread, if someone made a FOSS thread about the same subject yet you made a different code for the same task (and the code is NOT based on that thread's source code) do NOT post it on that thread, post it on a NEW thread
-Remmember, when you post your code ANYONE may use it, alter it, and submit with it, they have to give you credit though.
Good luck for us all :)
