Rcvl - Stay Or Go?

I'm sorry, I guess I brought a misunderstanding forward there. I believe that was a personal opinion on my half, as I felt many of the lists for me wern't the sole reason I came to Wi/Ht?. I enjoyed some, but I guess it was just a mistake. Of course everyone enjoyed those lists (EK and other people like you).

I suppose I was trying to find myself a plausible reasons as to why the RCVL should not be put to an end, and that's what my fingers put out. I guess I felt that the RCVL was one of my favourite lists and it involved more than some users of the Wi/Ht? Community and that's one of the reasons I felt it was popular (to my assumption). In my opinion, I still feel that the RCVL should continue and it would be sad to see it go.

But many are dead. And like I said before, it's a shame to lose any more of them. But don't act like this is the ONLY popular list. O_o

Unfortunately, but I guess...I don't really no what to say there - no comment. I have to agree with you and all we can do is wait for a reply from RedCircle himself. I'm sorry for juding the RCVL as the only popular list and I was mistaken. Anyway, I've looked at your penta list and of course, I can never forget it.

It would be good to see you on AIM again to catch up sometime soon you know.

Um, I think I did reply. It was brief, and basically stated that using the ones liljim has already done would be fine, EXCEPT that they should be averages instead of totals.

That's a fantastic idea in my opinion. It's a better way to get more of the community involved and it would also give a greater spread of votes too!

I know my reply is a little late, but here we go anyway:

I did not feel the need to go and quote everyone, so I will just give a general reply.

To start, I appreciate the work you put into the list RedCircle. I appreciate you as a mod as well. Even though I do not agree with everything you say, I have said time and time again that you are one of my favorite mods. I noticed some people were willing to take the list over for you if you just could not run it, and I am also willing to be apart of that if I am needed, because I think the list is important and helps hold a little of the foundation here in the forum.

I know I have said it a million times, but I came to the forum seeking help once and I was helped, most generously. I can’t recall the exact question or replier, but I remember being helped. Later on, I was curious and remember this forum and I came here to help more than anything. I started to get to know the lists (non of which I was on) and started to learn more and more about NG and the forums. Soon enough I was helping too and found myself helping whenever I was not beaten to it. Not everyone is dependant on the stat lists, so please take that into consideration.

Aside from this. I know you closed your other lounge due to people being upset even though – it seems – the majority was for the list or at least not against it. I feel that the LUL has become more chatting than accomplishments and I am not sure if that is good or bad. Either way, the conversation here keeps me coming back. It is intelligent. Helping people keep me coming back, and also, even if to others it is not a big deal, the remaining lists keep me coming back.

I have been close to voted on the Regulars list, and even though it won’t change my life, I want to make the list, because it shows not only that I help (which I like to do anyway), but it shows the respect I have earned from others regulars throughout the months I have been a frequent poster in the forum.

I can understand if you do not want to manage the list, but at least leave it up to someone else - like Tom, or myself (or anyone else who might have offered). I appreciate your work, and I think keeping one of the remaining lists around is a good idea. It is a positive thread that has lasts and keeps newcomers coming to the forum.

I know everyone is negative about our lists being cut, but there are other ways to keep the forum going. Thinking positively about this and acting positively instead of talking negatively is what will keep this place alive. I miss some of the users, who left as well, but not everyone has left and it is still a good thread that helps keep a good foundation for a good forum that we all enjoy. It is easy to give up, but is it worth it?

Why get rid of a good thread for reasons that can be worked around. My thoughts.

Thanks. I don't know why i skipped over RC's post expressing that the list was staying. I was randomly skipping a few here and there... i guess i got unlucky. My head is going beserk... i have two essays and a test on Monday - to say the least, i am stressing out a little. : P
