Hey I´ll join if loving all kinds of horror-movies is required.

No, I haven't, but welcome to the club!

Hey, StatusK, why don't you have the SSM make you a sig? They're the best there is when it comes to sigs and profile pics.

And ghostmint is in. I already talked to him on AIM.

Thanks a lot, by the way, if you saw "Pet Sematary" you notice in the movie that the first "Cemetary" is wrongspelled because a child built it.. the cemetary has actually nothing to do with the movie only the indian burialground beyond it has...
The best horror-movie is not "Pet Sematary" if you ask me though...the one and only must be "The Shining", a real classic!

"Cujo" and "Puppet Master"?
Never heard of them, another two classic horror-movies, right?

By the way...but for some reason my intuition tells me that those two are japanese films, or is it just me?

Oh wow, You could not be further off. "Cujo", was a movie about a St. Bernard that gets bitten by a bat and becomes infected with rabies, based on a Stephen King novel, from the time when he actually had to write high quality books in order to sell them. "Puppet Master", not to be confused with "Puppet Masters", had I believe a total of five movies in the series, was based on a premise of this wizard\typical evil villain, who controlled a group of marionettes with no strings and they all had weird little modifications like a drill on the head for example.

Okay, the last one sounds kinda scary but the first one...what does this dog do that´s so special then except for that rabies thing...?
Oh, speaking of japanese horror-movies...have you ever seen the japanese version of "The Ring"? (the original)

Everyone, there is a new ranking system in place.
#1: __________ Commander
#2: __________ General
#3-10: __________ Warrior
Status_K and Jew_Dude both fall under the ______Warrior category, since Jew_Dude has been demoted due to lack of posts. And ghostmint has been promoted to take Jew_Dude's place.
Now, to figure out your rank, take the category I've given you and fill in the blank with something horror-related.
BAM! You have your new rank!
I'll make more ranks as we acquire new members.

What do you mean by "fill in the blank"?
You mean like a signature after each post?

By the way Ghostmint, what happened, what did they do to the dog in order to survive?

Pick any horror related word. Then, put it in the blank. You will then have your rank for the club.

Sounds kinda like the "Sleepwalkers" when the mom and son tries to escape a bunch of wild cats using a car...

Enough about that, have you played any horror-games lately?
For example Silent Hill to PS1/2 or Clocktower to Zsnes?
If they turned these two into films they would probably be two of the most scary films now existing...
But then again, Resident Evil was turned into a film and that was pathetic more or less...have you seen it?

Response to The Horror Club 2004-05-10 01:53:46

A stale zombie themed thriller, nothing new at all. But I happen to like Mila Jovovich, because she was in the messanger and the fifth element, so i still enjoyed it even though i never had much of an interest in the video game. It still had nothing on 28 days later though.

It´s a shame however that they didn´t put Mr. X( a 2,5 metres tall, evil and aggressive guy ) or Alfred Ashford ( who officially has the worst laugh in the whole horror-related world ) in there, they would truly have been a real thrilling experience on the cinema, I promise you!

Response to The Horror Club 2004-05-10 02:52:26

Well, now I just have to think out a horror-related name...

Tim Burton?
Name one Tim Burton movie, just to remind me!

Response to The Horror Club 2004-05-10 15:35:01

lol, wow, ok i wont hold this against you but, "Sleepy Hollow", "Nightmare Before Christmas", twice as many as you asked for lol. His direction is Just so delightfully dreary and I suppose you could say, humid, well I would say lol. That’s how I define it. He certainly has found his niche.

You know I feel a little ashamed but I got to admit that I´ve heard several things about those films but it´s a pity I haven´t seen any of them...well I wish I had but I never thought about doing it...even my horror-knowledge has got flaws...

Hello, everyone!

I just wanted to check in, and to tell you that I'm launching a small advertizing campaign.

OH! OH! Me!!! Me!!! I am a homicidal maniac...I hit a kid with a stick for taking my toque...gave him a nasty bruise.

Response to The Horror Club 2004-05-10 22:47:44

Rad! Well my name will be...

Kinky Warrior HoboD...errr No...

Give me some time to think about it.

Response to The Horror Club 2004-05-10 22:57:25

I could only think of Epidemic Warrior right now.
When you think about it an Epidemic of disease can be the most Horrifying thing. Listening to reports about it coming closer...reminds me of Zombies and 28 Days Later.

I know my name is kind of sloppy but...
If you can come up with a good or at least better name as a suggestion I would be grateful...
I´ll check out that Tim Burton Topic now by the way and I´ll probably see you later on as Sweden is 6 hours ahead of USA...

Response to The Horror Club 2004-05-11 05:16:03

:I must say I didn’t think you were from Sweden either, I know other people on Newgrounds from there, and their English isn’t nearly as good as yours.

Thanks that warmed my swedish heart!

:Also your name is fine, if at any point you feel free to change it go ahead, it is not all that important to be honest, just a small detail, and we don’t even put it on the members list. The fact that you bothered to think one up is more than enough. Put a topic up if you want, I will be here all night, and probably day, I had a 2 hour nap just now, so I should be good for a day or two lol. Sleep is a waste of time.

Hehe, OK I understand, my friend here, A.K.A. Luna_Sea is exactly the same, but I´m grateful that these kind of people exist so that you don´t have to feel all alone when you go to newgrounds early in the morning or any time of the day!
Unfortunately, if I don´t get some good nights sleep I will definately transform into a zombie, the only thing that can help me out of that state would be a cup of coffee but then I feel like shit so I go to bed anyway...
Anyway I must be going now, see ya!

Response to The Horror Club 2004-05-11 15:08:09

Well for when you get back then.Wynona Rider isn’t a thief, she was researching a role, lol. I also have a great interest in Wynona, in fact if you remember Christina Ricci’s first movie, Mermaids, they were both in it. So that goes without saying.

She´s gorgeous but I´ve heard that she´s a weirdo who became a lesbian after several unsuccessful relationships, that and the shoplifting-trial where she obviously tried to convince the jury of her innocence by dressing herself like a little girl...
But off course most of it may only be some ridicolous rumour, you know how media really forces us to take an interest in the smallest trifles by magnifying them...

really? wow thats some coincidence! have you seen any more movies by him those are the only two i have seen, i know other titles by him are "the happiness of the katakuras" and "dead or alive" 1 and 2; but i have not had the chance to see those. they dont screen japanese movies too often around here, most of the times i have to wait for the film festivals.

Well my friend told me to check them out kinda neat, interesting story almot like the ring, or ringu, and ichi killer was cool, still my search is on for something that will gross me out nothing yet though...

Can i join? Horror movies are my favorite genre.

Response to The Horror Club 2004-05-12 01:11:07

All you have to do is be some what creative in developing your own title. Like, my postion, second in charge, was general, so i just put ghostmaster in front of it. It was just kind of a play on, postmaster general, but anything you want even if its only remotely clever, ________warrior ScaryDeadGirl.

what about eternal pestilence warrior?
to tired to think of a good name...
