It is art.

Art is a beautiful thing if done right. Now, I've seen some wonderful artwork that is used to accomodate some interesting stories here on newgrounds, but nothing this nice, serene and deep. It was a very beautiful exposition on the human condition and the wondrous exitince all life lives. I was looking at some of the reviews, and it just makes me so angry sometimes. I'm sure all the ones who gave anything below an 8 go to art gallerys purely for free uninhibited looks at nude women...or men for that matter. (yes that was a subtle homosexual joke, live with it.) But over all it takes me back to when elementary CG was put to some very beautiful music. Good Job.

good work with the graphics. the music was very suitable. for some reason it reminded me of squaresoft's rpg game chrono trigger and the final fantasy series. would be very suitable as an ending song for a great long rpg.

I can see why it's rated so high

Qi was easily one of the most enjoyable Flash movies I've watched on NG so far. I wish I had viewed this earlier. I can clearly see why it has such a great score.

...Yet, I can't give it a perfect score...at least not on this scale. Why?

I guess it comes down to personal preference. What do I mean? Well, (and I MAY have missed it) but there didn't seem to be much of a story or point to the video. I mean, for Flash, it was a veritable visual and musical tour-de-force, but it didn't really GO anywhere. I like movies that have stories. For me, it's what's within that counts, not whatever pretty pictures or musical scores it has.

Don't get me wrong, I definitely liked it - a lot - but I can't give it a perfect score because I simply do not see a story within...I would have liked it a lot more if it went somewhere (besides a graphical scene change) ...unfortunately, it didn't.
