Reviews for "Celtic Village"

It was pretty good...

I liked the easy job assignment, other than the difference between harvester and peasant. I gave you a 7 for humor because of the skeletons.

I have a question... Is the multiplayer version free to play? ( i took a look at the celtic game forums and i heard something about payments)

Celtic-games responds:

It's absolutely free, but you can take a taxed calling to get some things :).
And remember to register on the forum ;)!

cool one

that was a pretty good game. this one had a nice plot to it... semi reminded me of the simcity/the sims games.. but this one here had a pretty nice twist to it with an old Celtic village. it seems a litlte easy at first, but it had quite a nice challenge to it and was quite addicting.

Celtic-games responds:

And don't forget that it's evolving ;)

Very good

It's a very nice little village simulator, but could use some refinements. For instance, it is nice to see the little buildings go up the first time you upgrade them, but it would also be nice to see them expand further as you upgrade them to higher levels. I also like how the villagers have both child and adult icons, but a few more gradations (baby, child, teen, adult, old) would be an improvement. With that, it would be good if there were some effects of aging- like my 60 year old peasant woman shouldn't be able to give birth, or my 65 year old peasant man isn't quite as fast cutting wood as the younger ones.

The gods seem a bit too hasty with their smiting- I almost always have at least one villager turned into a skeleton right after I start, and end up having to keep my female peasant praying, one male farming, and one alternating the other two jobs. Does the skeleton status have any real effect? My skeletal peasants seem to be as good workers as their non-skeletal peers, and I had one baby skeleton grow into an adult skeleton and live a perfectly fine life, with no apparent ill effects.

The last thing I'd recommend is both an expansion (more goals than just hitting 30 peasants, additional upgrades, and so on) and the imposition of some additional failure conditions.

All in all, a very good game, and I look forward to seeing more of your submissions. 5/5

Celtic-games responds:

I didn't draw the buildings and the peasants, I took them from a program :) (but who said it was illegal?), the maledictions have no effects, well not yet...
The goal will probably stay at one, because you have to be in the Top 10, so if I put more than one goal people may won't like the game.
And... I'm not sure I'll put other submissions, maybe some movies but this game is an evolutive game, so I'm upgrading it, that means I'll submit better version with some improvments.
I'm making a second one, but I don't think I'll put a solo mode for the seconde one

Anyway, I recommend you to play the multi-player game, which is real better!

Pretty Good

It would help if you had a instruction screen at the start of the game, i found it eventually but it took me a while

Celtic-games responds:

I'll see what I can do. Before I put the instruction in-game, I've put how to find the help in the description :P

cool game

don't know exactly what i;m doing :P or how to get more pheasants, still a very cool game. Your english isn't bad, i understand what your telling me in the game.

Celtic-games responds:

If you want to get a good help, click the "?" button, then "options", and then "help". Well, sometime my english is not wrote as it should be ;)
