Reviews for "The Goop"

please change the voices

The only criticism that I can give is to change the voices, they were hard to understand, and a big turn off. Other than that it was very good.

IZSBHR responds:

Well, it's an old tradition amongst flash groups. And subtitles just made my computer crash because of the file size ^^;

^^Good Points^^
It was kind of an interesting movie. The graphics were good, much better than most other DD movies. Nice character drawings.

^^Needs Improving^^
I had no idea what was going on. I couldn't hear half of the stuff that Sage said, which really made it hard to find this entertaining as he said a lot of stuff relevant to the storyline.

What an Epic!

Such a shame that so much work didn't manage an award, it deserved at least a little one.
Unfortunately, Speakonia is often difficult to hear, which makes such a complicated plot hard to follow.

There were some very funny moments in there, I literally LOL'd once, which is very rare.
I think the pace was a little slow- that is SO hard to get right.

I think I will 4/5 for the effort and the laughs, despite the fact that it gets boring cos of how hard it is to follow and the pace.

Thank you, good sir.

An assault on my senses

Man I had a really hard time keeping up with the progress of this one. When you kept switching between animators, the styles were so different that you ahve trouble picking up which character is doing what to whom.

To those of you who used speakonia, please try to use it so that each voice sounds different, so that we can tell who is speaking. To those of you who were too lazy to use speakonia, you should ahng your head(s) in shame, as you've really hurt the collab in my eyes.

What were the group who had what looks like a packing crate as an icon? Were they Dock Division? If so, who were the ones with the anchors? If they are one and the same, I'll tell you it doesn't help the confusion, so you may wish to consider unification before the next collab from you lot.

The plot was quite interesting, just put across in a confusing manner. Work on it and I'll be impressed.

IZSBHR responds:

I'm sorry, but I like the different styles. It's kinda the point of the collab.

We all used speakonia. However, I did one scene in which a Lock was using regular English. Sue me. He also speaks in Japanese at the beginning.

The Dock Division switched from anchors to Wooden boards awhile ago, but Snarf didn't want me to change anything in it.

I don't think we can really work on it; We spent 4 months with the thing.

It was decent...

Pretty good for a spin-off. I didn't really laugh much though. the rants annoyed me and the over-used 300 joke really brought the movie down. I liked some parts, but not all of it. Maybe it's because I'm a clock? well, either-or, it was still ok.

IZSBHR responds:

Thanks.
