Reviews for "Incubus Pulsum"

A trippy rhythm game

Fun to play, but too hard. Layout of buttons is confusing, and makes the game much harder.

It would be a lot more fun if buttons were aligned more like Guitar Hero, being as the current layout is trippy and hard to understand. (You could also do harder things and make it possible.)

Also, whenever they die, most people want to be able to quickly retry, and your game does not notice that (add a retry button instead of making people go back to the main menu).

Anyway, the graphics/sound are smooth and it looks professional. I just think you should changed the gameplay.

I LOVE IT

except when you let 1 by it messes the whole thing i cant see anything when it floats in midair when playing

Somewhere between DDR and Guitar Hero, but better.

It took me a couple tries to figure out how the button combinations work, but it's really the 4 directions and 6 2-button combos of DDR, plus the Strum Bar from Guitar Hero, arranged in a colorful rainbow circle, with great music and an awesome stop-the-aliens-from-invading-earth storyline. It's hard enough to keep my trying to improve my score without being impossible (except maybe in that "insane" mode).
10/10 and 5/5 because I can't think of anything this needs, (I know I normally hate Strum-Bar-like mechanics but this game works exceedingly well with it and can therefore get my full-points review) plus the animation is great and the music is well-synched.

And for those of you who don't get it, you have to hold down two buttons for many combinations, hold the strike key for centipedes, and strike on the beat of the music wherever possible.

Quite challenging; fairly well executed

What makes this game so difficult yet so interesting at the same time is the fact that you have 8 directions you have to hold down while you press another button to actually hit the dream monsters. The insane difficulty seems near impossible to me. I didn't see why it was 'insane' until after the first part, and then it became obvious. I think this game would be better with a few more levels, but other than that, it's pretty well done.

Excellent game

Only one problem, Hyrule Castle loses synch near the end. If you can, please fix this.
