HOLY SHIT?! WHAT THE FUCK!!?? GOD DAMNIT!!!!!!!
WHY IS THIS GAME'S SCORE NOT ABOVE a 4.0???!!!!!!!!
WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF F
Holy motherfucking christ playing the banjo and harmonica on a trampoline, this is the type of game that I wish were in stores for retail... what an awesomlely excellent display of innovation, animation and most of all... fun!!
The creator of this game has achieved the nirvana of game design... the perfect blend of challenge and addiction, a formidable (though not unsurmountable) learning curve that immediately makes itself known to the player, and allows him to realize a healthy and satisfying ascension of skill as he tries and retries the song after song, till near perfection. Why would one desire near perfection? Because the songs keep the player coming back for more... they are fun to listen to, fun to play, and the design of the button orders are extremely well placed, providing a challenging variety of key combinations.
As far as beat games go, the synchronization of song to buttons is near perfect, if not PERFECT. I personally haven't been able to spot any flaws, but I have been playing this game at a low volume due to the late hour, and have not been able to really clearly hear the songs.
And... I just can't express how refreshing it is to finally see a flash in this Rock Out contest with such pleasing visuals. Not only that, but with an actual storyline to boot! Sure, it's not complex, but this is a beat game, and any background is a welcome one, for there is rarely any... I believe that guitar hero was the first, or one of the only beat games to have any sense of purpose behind the gameplay.
This game is simply memorable. The intro tune to the main menu, the screeching and screaming you hear when you fail... these are little sound clips that are going to stay with me after I beat this game, they are so well qued and appropriate for their placement. The animation so fluid, comical and vibrantly depicting a lavishly funkadelic world of musical phantasm.
Brilliantly executed gameplay supported by detailed visuals and a fresh, lush soundtrack... with intelligently leveled challenges to keep the player coming back for more, even in the face of constant defeat.
What complaints can I have?
Well... it could use a few more songs... I certainly hope there will be a part 2 to this flash game? :)
Just fantastic, a masterpiece. Congratulations, I hope this wins!!
