The game said Convict's final story mission was the game's toughest battle, but I beat with 1/2 of my health left! Convict is the best character.

Its the greatest game on newgrounds thats for sure but i dunno if anybody tried the convict but every time i play as him i transform into a Henchman ( i get killed really easely in the last part of the storymode XD)

Transforming doesn't change your health. As the henchman, you will have weaker attacks, but it's a short period and you can spend it evasively.

I think that the Tankman's story is quite difficult but... hey this game kicks ass!
