Interesting...
I saw your other five Super Mario Bros Z. episodes and walked away amazed with each one and was certain there was nothing you could do to improve on the fifth episode. Boy was I wrong. Your experience and considerable flash talent is beginning to yield some pretty ground breaking things. I like how you modeled the plot around the Cell saga and of course the DBZ Movie #8 line made by Mecha Sonic during his confrontation with the Red Axem Ranger was classic. There hasn't been an action sprite flash with a plot as developed as yours although the superb Mario Brothers series made by Phantasmagoria-crow could be argued to rival this flash series in that respect, but the Mario Brothers series isn't really an action flash per se as much as it is a fantasy epic.
After seeing this movie I am convinced there is no reason to add voice acting. It would really bring your work down a notch in my opinion since you would be hard pressed to find voice talent that would do your flash justice and using your big brother or little sister really isn't the best idea. Can you imagine? If any old Joe got his hands on Mario's script, practiced for a few days, and then spat out the line Mario made when Luigi popped a 1-Up mushroom in his mouth this would likely be the result (sound effects from breathing into microphone added): *rrrrprpptptptt*JuSssTT WhAaa *prrrprppt*t I needAd! Lol. I think people are just trying to get you to add voice acting because they are really too lazy to read.
One more thing, I liked how you added new factions into the mix, people are complaining that there are too many characters being thrown into the plot, but without the Axem Rangers and the Koopa Bros, there would not have been the amazing 3-way power struggle we all witnessed in episodes 5 and 6. People complained that Spiderman 3 had too many villains and sub stories, but they never once considered that everything came together quite nicely. Following the numerous villain intentions was what really annoyed people most, in other words, they were too lazy to follow the plot. I think that is the case with some of our newgrounds users who have spoken against adding new faces to the mix.
Great job, I look foward to seeing your next installment. Hopefully the next flash will be over 16,000. I'll have my scouter handy when I sit down to watch Super Mario Bros Z episode 7. =o)
Yet another episode of TOTAL AWESOMENESS
Damn man, it's been a long wait, but once again you exceeded my expectations once again. Another totally awesome episode. I've followed this since episode 1, and i'll follow it til the end. Just a great video, action packed battles, engaging story, and perfect use of voices and sounds. Perfect 10, cant wait til the next!!! Hopefully it won't be another 3 months
