Bland, but FUN
The characters are boring, the stages are limited, and there aren't many moves to actually execute. However, the saving grace is the addictive factor. No amount of boredom or blandness can kill the SSBM formula. Smart move, both of you.
Good Fighting Game
Pros: Great concept. Good choice of music. Fast-paced fighting. Multiplayer Mayhem! Can configure controls. Has a smash bros. feel. Can get very chaotic.
Cons: Multiplayer is unusual to play.(Lets play! 4 players! oh wait there's too many people hogging the keyboard/playing at one time) No real way to combo people. Some specials are cheap. Some characters feel/play the same as others. Little amount of maps. OK amount of characters. Screen shakes when there is too much going on.
Overall: Great game for 1-2 people on a weekend or something, keep in mind, 4 players is going to be weird. Any fan of Smash will love this. Not for everyone.
