Reviews for "Endless Zombie Rampage"

Nice rip-off :)

Nice rip-off of Crimsonland.

Not a bad game, levels are a bit long.

awesome....

played this yesterday and died in 10 minutes... played it today and im pretty much invincible with my house having 20,000 health... good game but you could add maybe upgradable weapons (as in you keep the same weapon but make it better... sort of upgrade) to add a little more depth once youve bought everything...

Reloading...

very fun, but the reloads kinda (really) suck. But at least it's made with the spirit I look for in a flash game. The shooting itself is kick ass. Worth playing :)

Just great!

Now this is really good but only thing is when you got all weapons and something like 2000 hp and 5000 armor for bunker.. it gets "little" bit boring.. if you could make some HUGE zombie walk in there or Zombie tank or something.. then that laser gun would be good for use..

Flawed, neds some tweaking. But also great.

I was in a toss up between rating 8 or 9. I felt nice.

To let you know, I design and program games (not with flash), so I know a thing or two about good games.

This game, like all defense games, has a serious flaw, you become invincible eventually. In this case, it was as soon as I bought the SCAR (last assault rifle). It got to the point where I could pull out the pistol, walk to the bottom of the screen, let the zombies attack my base and only kill the ones coming after me. they would do about 1k damage to my base, and It had about 10k health. I could repair it with 1.5k, and then invest the other 50-100k in more max hp. The game was obviously over at this point.

You should be dead before you can buy all the weapons and power ups. There should never be a point where there's nothing to but besides health power ups. Maybe add some super expensive power ups (like 8-20k ish). Most people lose interest when they have bought everything in these games, and players losing interest is never good.

It's a fixable flaw though, after the point where most people buy one of the 'super weapons' try some of these things:

1. Make some serious tank-ish enemies. Make them like, 4 times bigger than the normal enemy, and quite a bit slower. Make it so when you shoot them they don't get knocked back, and give them around 2k-4k health (increases later). I want these things to actually get your base as your still trying to kill them.

2. Make enemies with ranged weapons. Something slow like a rocket launcher that you could dodge. They only shoot at you, so you can save your base by walking to a side of the map, dodging the rockets so they fly out of the room avoiding your base. Adding to the moving element of you game, which practically disappears after you get the super weapons now.

3. Increase enemies health and damage a much sharper rate later in the levels. There should be some at around 300-500 health. Keep in mind the game should get harder as the levels progress, so more and more zombies should be getting to your base each level.

4. Make max hp upgrades cost more. (do this though out the game, not just after super weapons.)

People might have a problem with this at first because they're used to the typical too easy defense game, but it will actually be a game worth coming back too. Take a stand and be a first to make a defense game that you can actually, and eventually will, lose.

Here's some unrelated other small tweaks to balance out the game:

1.The SCAR (last assault rifle) should do less damage, maybe 30. The reload time should be more too, like 1.5 seconds. It's basically the best weapon in the game right now, and its relatively cheap.

2. Make the last mini-gun have less ammo, around 500, and a slightly smaller reload time (around 3-4 seconds default). 6 seconds is a bit extreme for the price your paying (even after the reload power up).

3. The laser is pretty weak, for being a super cool laser. If you do take my advice and make the difficulty additions I listed first, the laser should be dishing out around 300 damage. Also, with 300 damage, make it cost more.

4. The bloodshed power up is pretty lame for it's price. Seeing how its useless later on. Either make it cheaper, or find a way to make it keeps its value.

5. Make the last non-auto shotgun more powerful.

6. The enemies pretty much never damage you. you can walk strait though a group of enemies without getting touched. Make it ALOT easier for them to hit you.

So if you read this, keep it in mind. I doubt you'll actually change your game now, because no one does (lazy bastards). But if you ever decide to make a new defense game, seriously consider these points please.

Thanks for your time, and good luck,
