OMG DOES IT EVER END!!
My eye balls burn and my hears are bleeding. Its been ten minutes and it is still playing, just when I am about to hit the close window button something new happens and I am arbitrarily forced to watch. The animation is good, but my god, the story and joke are annoying as hell. I give up at 15 mins of half watching. I guess its set to random scene loop or something.
I remember this when it first came out.
There's a rare quote by Blue on this one, "This b*tch...." No, I'm not gonna say how it goes. Just find it.
Kinda interesting how they gave Magikarp this worthless move just to suck.
This animation reminds me of the Ditto Paradox. Basically, both the player and opponent send out a Ditto as their final/only pokemon. Ditto will only know Transform, so it can only Transform into the enemy's Ditto. But when Transform is used, it also gives the user 5 uses of all the enemy's skills. So the Ditto turns into a Ditto with 5 uses of Transform. And the enemy also turns into a Ditto with 5 uses of Transform. Then the player's Ditto uses Transform again, once AGAIN giving it 5 uses of Transform, resulting in a never-ending stalemate, since neither pokemon will ever run out of uses of Transform and, thusly will never be able to use "struggle," a basic attack known by all pokemon which would actually deal damage, but can only be used when a pokemon is out of moves.
Well Done
You know, ever once in a wile I find a movie that's really well done. Now, sprites are something that some may think is simple or overdone, but as far as I'm concerned, nothing is bad until the credits start rolling...unfortunately, the credits never roll for this one, so it's not bad is it?
The jokes get old after watching the movie for more than 2 minutes, but it's still well done as far as originality. I like how each trainer actually has a personality rather than just the same voice and actions as the other one. That means somebody took time and effort, rather than just throwing something together.
So, well done as far as game authenticity with red trainer and blue trainer, as well as the battle ground where the trainers fight. Even the background music is well put in, and doesn't overpower the voices of the trainers.
I would like to see something a little more outrageous for humors sake, but I can see that the whole point is that the battle is supposed to be boring and dull, so I give props for not selling out for the viewers sake.
The endless loop is a nice touch to, so well done on that.
Sound is done well also.
I would like to see more movement, but once again, that's the whole point.
So again, well done, I applaud it. It's well done all around and I enjoyed it.
