There was actually an episode where Ash fights a Samurai guy, they both send out Metapods, and just use harden for like the whole episode. That's why I love this flash.

Although many people don't realise that Magikarp can be a pretty powerful pokemon, when used with the right strategy.
It can even take out Tower Tycoon Palmer (Pokemon Platinum) when used the right way. Youtube it.
