Madness turning into Order?
This has been a long standing series in the Newgrounds franchise over the past couple years, and for good reason.
With the silly Marsh-mellow Madness as a pilot episode to see how it would go, to the anti-hero NOIResque LSD induced monstrosity Consternation, this series has come a long way.
Respectably, your style and work has progressed in a great way, as myself wouldn't be able to do a tenth of your work, and I always have looked forward to your work an a handful of other newgrounds flash artists.
However though, with that being said, It's come to a disappointing turn it seems. Granted the the turn for the anti-hero pure insanity factor in Depredation was fantastic, and Antipathy a rage fueled adrenaline "No Survivors" rampage, it has seemed to slow down this episode as Hank is proven to be only so Inhuman, he is painstakingly used as a "Test" for Clown by unknown beings (Quite possibly the sheriff, or A CHALLENGER APPEARS?) and with that, he is not the same Hank as I saw in Antipathy where he pushed his blood thirst beyond any other episode, and turned into a 'panic driven dog caught with it's tail between it's legs' realizing he may not make it out of this one because he is only so human, turning this episode into a bridge into a new section of story rather than the "Madness" we've all come to love so much.
Granted, I love your work Mr. Jolly, I love the pure adrenaline cranked out intensity the last few episodes have been, but I do not love a drastic change to something we've been familiar with, some sick of, as it has just been the same business every episode, just more violent and intense than the last with this being the exception. With everyone out gunning for Hank, including God himself, it may be time for this to wrap up and begin a new form of Madness, as you've shown an explosion of improvement with your work over the years. With that, I'm sure you're already cracking down on the blueprints for the next nightmare induced episode, as I am still excited for the series to continue, and with this review a plea to keep this adrenaline from slowing down towards an anti-climatic view.
On a personal note, I've noticed the subtle /b/ references, and that is very satisfactory.
