Hmm.. Well...
I just know a couple thousand of you people out there will try to hunt me down and slaughter me for saying this, but I don't think this was the best Madness cartoon in Krinkels' lineup. His description kind of summed it up: "Moar violence", but that was really it.
The graphics were obviously of a higher scale than usual, but for some reason the thing was extremely slow, even on my fast computer (I don't know if it was auto-detect or not but the quality was already set to Low, and even then there were choppy moments). However the level of gore was increased... Ten fold. Somewhat excessive with the skin being ripped off.
It wasn't nearly as funny as any of the other six, even Antipathy, probably because he's shooting for a more serious goal here. But what gets me was that Madness was based around death and destruction, bu 'funny' death and destruction. About the only things remotely funny in this one were the utterly random posters strewn about and the drill instructor. That's it. The chainsaw didn't make me lol, the big 1337 guy didn't make me lol, the Tricky fight didn't make me lol. Damn.
The sound was where this thing suffered. For one the music wasn't too bad, but it was muted, so muted in fact that I barely noticed it was there among all the gunfire. The sounds for the chainsaw were literally constant; no noticeable ripping and tearing, just the same sound over and over until it got knocked out of Hank's hand. Also, Tricky didn't roar. At all. It was something I was expecting from a big ass scary monster chasing him through the building. Instead there was just all the static with the text (which wasn't a bad idea, really, but it's starting to ruin some of the classic anonymity).
As for the pros, of course there was moar violence, but the shotgun made a re-appearance: awesome. There was also an automatic shotgun: moar awesome. And there was a chainsaw: pwnage... Ok, the chainsaw was kind of lame, sorry to say it. The lack of "shredding" coupled with the sound didn't give it the effect it should have had.
All in all, it isn't bad, but once again in my opinion the graphics were turned way up at the loss of effect (much like Depredation). I only hope that Krinkels doesn't overcompensate again and go in the reverse (ala Antipathy) in this regard.
