Reviews for "The Last Stand."

dude

first off i really really hate zombies. pretty easy with a couple of challenges with those goddamn soldiers freaking taking about 3 ak-47 clips at least to kill good thing i had the last gun with me though other wise it would have taken so much longer. the dog zombie scares me.

This was superior compared to many other games.

This was awesome. It has been a long time since a good zombie flash game to come out. But in the first few levels I thought, well this is too simple. And then I actually started to notice that the zombies became faster, stronger, and the survivors became lost even if they were in your base. That's when I started to think, shit, I'm screwed. But I got through it and it was great. Anyway, on to the review. I'll point out the pros and cons (in my opinion) and what I think you could do to make it better.

Pros

-Fun and addicting
-Challenging
-Keeps you on your toes
-The graphics were good and it only lagged on my crappy comp. maybe twice and the screen could even hold around 20-30 zombies (plus my graphics were on medium and I can't even think of how good they looked on high)
-The legs blowing off and the headshots especially, were extremely satisfying
-The gunshots sounded very realistic and the Barrett was badass
-I thought it was hillarious when the zombies would fall to the ground when you shot their legs off and when you got headshots
-You could move which I think makes it more fun than just sitting in one position and it also made it so you had to be in the right spot to hit certain zombies
-There were a large variety of enemies
-The S.W.A.T. team members and military personnel had bulletproof armor and helmets which also made them harder to kill
-Overall, it was very enjoyable

Now onto the cons.

Cons

-It could have been longer (it was long but maybe throw in some kind of boss battle or something)
-You could have maybe had something like a survival mode or other minigames which could have, possibly, had high scores
-You could have made it so you could move out of the barricade so you could run out and chainsaw some zombies and then run back in
-Uhh, yeah, that really covers it

Wow, 11 pros to 3 cons. I also thought that I was never going to play this game. How stupid that would have been. This is a great game and it easily deserved these awards.

Pretty good game

Complaints:

Aiming, this really needs in improving. I've had cases where I aim for a zombies head and end up shooting at the feed of zombie that passes by the one I'm currently killing.

You might also want to consider throwing in a difficulty setting. I've played this before and after you updated it. I can tell you upped the difficulty for those who complained about it being easy. I really wish more flash games would use difficulty settings. Not everyone will be happy, more like 80% tops, but its better then having half the pool of players bitching about the game being to0 easy for them, or being too hard.

Add some different choices in music.

Be able to blow the arms off of zombies, and the limbs off of the dogs. OK that isn't really important, and it might be asking too much.

Compliments:

The style was great and so was the graphics

Variety in the number of enemies, and how much of a threat they posed to you. This killed monotonicity of killing zombies. Plus, it added an element of strategy, like blowing out the legs on swat and soldier zombies.

Humor was awesome. Especially, the lone clown zombies. I enjoyed the few times where I successfully removed his head with a well placed shot.

Pretty awesome

Really simple, though... My fence never needed to be repaired throughout the game.

The Sniper Lord pawns them evil Ghoulies...

It's a nice game. Well, in my opinion it's the best falsh defense game I've played so far. The only problems that I can find are that it's too easy and yeah... It's really easy, especially when you get the Berret, which I got at around day... Oh I don't know, fifteen? I'm not sure about that though as it's been a while since I've played this game.

Anyway, for those of you who want to get it done the quick and easy way...
1. For the first two or three days try and get headshots for all the zombies.
2. For the first day, spend all your time looking for surviviors. Allocate some time if you need to... I didn't. I had 100% HP for all days save for one, which I can't remember.
3. For the next few days divide your time between looking for survivors and searching for weapons. Place a few hours for repairs if the need arises.
4. Repeat until you get the maximum number of survivors allowed.
5. When you achieve number four just continue searching for weapons. Stick to the revolver(shotgun if you're confident) and uzi, until you find stronger weapons. I used both shotguns but I advise you to not use the the sawed of shotgun unless you're really confident.
6. When you get the hunting rifle keep it as your primary and just snipe the heads. You don't really need to have any other weapon, unless dogs get close to the wall. In those situations it's best to use weapons with automatic fire(secondary).
7. When you get the Berret... Nothing much to say here but... Go trigger happy.
8. And lastly, when the soldiers arrive just shoot the legs. They'll go down much faster that way.
