a truely welcome time killer
this game was very nicely done for a defense game. my only critcism is the lack of unlimited powerups and weapons, and it would more interesting if you could expand the the base so that more pepole could fit. also assigning weapons to the survivors and have them develop experience in shooting would be interesting. maybe have the base douyble sided and two player in that sense. i am looking forward to the sequel. it was very well done.
holy shit amazing! but major glitch screwed me ovr
First, let me say that this game is AMAZING.. the gore is brutal, the guns are realistic and powerful, setup, sense of survival, all of it.. its outstanding... but i have one major point against it which i have to bitch about a bit..

I was playing through the game normally, and made it to day 20. i was gearing up for the that last level (which actually might've been like, day 21 or something) and i picked the new M4A1 i had just found (along with my chainsaw) and started it up. the whole level went completely normal, one thing though was that my M4 had to reload with 1 bullet left, and when reloading it would slow down (lag) a tad and i could shoot during that time. thing was i dont think bullets came out and there was no barrel fire thing... that was minor though.
Anyway, after all that, i aimed at the last zombie, and emptied the last bullets into his head. he fell over normally, and i sat back waiting for the screen to fade.. it didn't fade immediately like it normally did, and i noticed i still had full control over my dude...

Last level and every zombie was dead, but the level would not end.. i waited and waited, and paused and unpaused.. i was stuck. ontop of that, whenever i fired my M4 or my chainsaw, it would have MAJOR slow down, until every bullet left the screen, or the chainsaw unrevved... GAY!
that was extremely gay, and got me pretty mad that i couldnt finish it. i didnt even get to find every gun! still had the AK47 and the Barret to go!!
ah well.. the game was amazing, great shooting, gameplay, loved the scavenge and repair stuff during the day, loved the weapons, the diary entries and everything were cool... best defence game i've played in a long while! along with the best zombie game ive played in a long while.. and mind you, i'm only saying long while just to be safe, i honestly cant think of a better one.
4.5/5 i'm voting 4 today, and i'll probably vote 5's every other time, after i calm down from the last level freeze up!! ah well. Fix the glitches please! and looking forward to a sequel.
Probably is the best zombie game
ok, let me offer a few strategies. Enemies: The normal people, just shoot them. Fatties: Try to take them out before they get to close, they have more health, so they take longer to kill. In the later levels, u come across army men in kevlar vests, so shooting their body does nothing, the best way i found out, is to shoot their legs. you can shoot their head, which is auto kill (damn I love headshots!), but they have helmets, so don't be shootin shit. Ok, now the Weapons: In my opinion, you should have one automatic weapon, and one powerful weapon. MY personal favorite combo is Uzi and Hunting Rifle. Reason being: the Uzi shoots fast, and reloads faster than the other automatic weapons, so you can gun down the faster moving zombies. the Hunting Rifle is really awesome becuz it is very powerful, is easy to pull headshots with, reload time is reasonable, and it can go through more than one zombie. (Can you say Double Headshot??!) After each level: Try not to spend to much on repairs, unless you have to. When your "find weapon" meter is halfway full or more, devote quite a few hours to finding a weapon, ull usually get one. Finding survivors is important too, especially in the early parts of the game, they really do help.
The good weapons: Uzi, Hunting Rifle, Shotgun (you can stop it in the middle of reloading by shooting, if need be, which is good.)
Ok Weapons: Sawed-Off Shotgun, AK47, Magnum
Dont waste your time with: Chainsaw, its not very helpful
Develop your own strategy, use the weapons that you think work well together (Mine works pretty well, honest), and reloading when there are slow zombies or a little break, especially with the Shotgun.
This is a very good game, and is probably the best zombie game. Maybe even best survival game, so good job. This game is worth your time. Try it. (woah, my longest review yet!!)
