The hunting rifle is too OP
It isn't that hard when you find the revolver on the first night and then a whole ton of survivors. One survivor doesn't do much but a whole shit ton of them are invincible, especially when the seventh one gets a hunting rifle (you don't have to have the rifle unlocked yet). Afterwards it was 35% an hour repairing and 8 hour hunts for weapons, and occasionally finding new survivors to replaced the lost ones.
TL;DR Get overpowered guns fast, and then get more overpowered survivors fast (survivors more important. Pray to the Random Number God). Survivors are a crutch; roll night 20 with AK-47 and profit.
This game is a classic, and a pioneer of it's kind. Definitely worth a try if you haven't played it yet.
However, it does suffer from weapon imbalance and difficulty spikes. In my experience, the game was fairly difficult until you got the hunting rifle. Then you could just one shot zombies most of the time at a fairly high fire rate without having to reload.
It amazing game.
