Shotgun is your friend.
The survivors aren't what did it for me. They barely fired. It was the moment I got the Sawed-off Shotgun. Held little ammo sure, but that just meant it didn't take long fully reloading. I bet it wouldn't be as easy without it. With how many zombies I shot down, none of the survivors were getting any action. I almost felt like trying to lose them all to see if I could fend it off on my own with just that one weapon. Anyways, it was a fun game good work.
Excellent game, but a tad too easy
Once you get 7 survivors the game is cake. Increasing the chance of losing someone during a search might help, or make the zombies do more damage to the barricade. The guns seemed pretty well balanced, but I'd have to agree with an earlier reviewer who mentioned that the M4A1 was disappointing.
Also, would it be possible to make the player able to swap weapons in the middle of a reload? I would imagine the biggest issue is preventing any exploits of swapping as a means of near-instant reloading. But if this isn't the case, and you can make it so swapping in the middle of a reload will cause the reloading process to start over upon swapping back, I think it would add more value to the idea of having a primary and backup weapon.
A top-notch game nonetheless, very nice work here.

Excellent graphics of gore was frosting on the cake.
As for having a positive ending on Day 20 - smart insight. Just because zombies are involved doesn't mean the world is over - afterall if Joe Blow can last 20 days an organized army can probably annihilate them.
The note by the page where you allocate your day-hours, as well as the diary. Those gave the game some humorous moments ("Call Mom If I Survive" -> zombie mom?)

Through most of the game I was like "hey this is pretty good, actually." but when I saw that one little word "Barret" I knew exactly what it was, even before I saw the gun itself. I love you so much!! thank you for the Barret! Besides that, I loved shredding zombies. It was gratifying.

the barret was really good and the little allie people were helpful. For a new one mabye same concept on a larger scale? Obviously with some new bits in. The army zombies were tough as hell so i had to shoot the legs. overall 9 out of 10
