Great game!
I love the survival horror genre and this game is probably the best one I've seen on newgrounds. The only issue I'd have with this game is the lack of atmospheric music but that itself does not a great game make. I'd really like to see a side scrolling version of this game perhaps making your way through a small town cleaning up the zombies or something.
Pure awesomeness
By far one of the best games I've played on newgrounds. Reminds me of the barracade scene in 28 Days Later. Very cool. I'd give suggestions on improvements, but you seem to have thought of everything. The weapons scale was awesome, the repairs thing was mundane but manditory and they way you lose survivors as easily as finding them was cool too. KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK!!!

Great. But there's some things to improve.
It was very fun. Here's some things to add in the next installment:
-Better aim. Sometimes my crosshair would be right on a zombie, and I'd miss.
-More weapons. There's a lot, but I'd like more. Maybe some type of flamethrower, a bow and arrow, a rocket launcher of some sort, throwable axes
-Different areas. Maybe you'd move into a city area halfway through, and unlock a couple new weapons.
-Militia type training to make your citizens a better shot/get better weps.
-Larger range of view, and possibly an occasional attack from behind you. Like, when you switch areas, the next area would have zombies coming from right and left.
-Longer game, more zombies.
-Easy and Hard settings. Consider this installment's difficulty easy :)
That's what I suggest. Very good job for your first game!

that game was pure awesomeness all the way through
great zombie carnage and graphics. I really liked the menu too.
If you decide to make a sequel i suggest:
- allow more than 7 survivors
- have more guns and make it so you can get more than 1 of each and assign them to the survivors that help you fight
- let the character jump over the fence and fight with melee weapons like the chainsaw and maybe add a knife or switchblade.
- make the AI on both sides smarter
- Have some action-y music to kill zombies with!
