It's amazing how you can juice up old ideas
This game was not new when it came to the concepts. The game was a defense game at heart. The controls and gameplay were nothing too new.
Does that stop this game from being anything less than brilliant? The zombies animations we're well done, the weapon/survivor/repair system worked very well. The game had a great assortment of weapons and the speeds and strengths, as well as armor in certain areas kept the game varied.
Its a work to be proud of.
My only problem with the game itself was the difficulty. It was very, very easy. I never saw my wall drop below 88%. The weapons were a bit too powerful, especially when you get the barett off the end. It is a common flaw in defense games that they're either too easy or too hard. This, as far as I've seen, it because most defense games just give target to shoot at and nothibng else. It doesn't require all too much player skill to play, so how many zombies come and at what speed either make the game too easy or too hard, because there is no middle ground. My suggestion on fixing this problem is to add more character like the swat/army guys and put more emphasis on aiming.
Still, all things said, terrific game.
