What more can you want? That was pretty decent work I must say. Keep up the good work. Your off to a good start.
Could be so much more
This was working its way to being a great animation, then you cut it off in its prime!
Still, let's look at some positives here - the animation is good. I quite like the walking animation for the guy, it makes him look like he's skipping. I also like the drawing style of the thing sitting on the doorstep.
The sound is good quality and suits the piece well.
What you really need is to take this further, give it more of a plot and not bail out and call the animation finished too soon.
I look forward to seeing the results

i think its got great potential for a realy good video... first off the ambient music was great and the walking to the door view with the layered depth was realy good...
but i have two issues with the whole episode that i didnt like... and they are realy minor but i think will make a big difference... the first is the light reflection on his face... i think it would be better if you used a three or four layer of alpha to make a gradient effect across the face... cause the hole active blue beard is just weird....
the other was you need more sound effects when the thing jumps up and attacks him... and maybe have the guy moan while his brains or what ever are being sucked out of him...
other than that pretty good. i hope to see some more shorts from ya or even a longer one...
