Excellent top class game but there is problems :S

This game is pure gold but... there are a two problems you need to work
on. Firstly when you do an amazing combo in the air and about to blast to the next level but your about to die of fuel loss it wont let you land and you'll die in mid air. Secondly after you kill a million Hellicopters and at the brink of a lvl up no more enemies come so you just die. but enough of the neggatives apart from those two things this game is the second best game on newgrounds (the best being smash 2).

Just needs some tweaking to be perfect

I adore this game. The high score boards lead to endless hours of replay. I just have a few complaints.

1. Early on you can easily lose because no planes may come for a long period of time. This has happened to me a few times, and it is obnoxious to restart due to something like that.

2. The homing planes are more of a nuisance than a help, usually. I will be about to land on a plane when a homing missle will hit me, give me a tiny bump up to miss the plane, and i drop to the ground. Maybe if they gave you more bounce when you are hit, or even when you hit the plan itself.

3. I spent an entire round of fuel in one combo, and then lost because I ran out of fuel while never hitting the ground. Maybe if experience could rack up while in the middle of a combo, or if you could finish the combo once the fuel runs out. Only being able to die on the ground and not in the air.

Other than those few things, the game is perfect. A great time waster.

Good game, but could have been "Bolero"...

Drealoth's suggestion of how to solve the fuel running out whilst doing mega combos in air is a good one, which would solve the only real major problem with the game - and perhaps the random enemies generator could use a minor tweak as well...

...although the music does get repetitive and old real fast, you're trying to keep the code size down, which is Wade's third (or is it second?) commandment, else I would have given a 7 overall instead of a 9 (really, I wanted to give an 8.5 overall, but rounded up).

Comic violence - "comic" is why the 4 is there (but I really don't factor that into the overall unless it's gratuitous, which it isn't here).

Really, it's an outstanding looking game that plays better than many arcade games that you would see on MAME emulator - perhaps, for a counterintuitive cool sounding alternative soundtrack, rip it from "Peter Packrat" :D

i was hooked for hours

great game.
made me realise that u dont all ways have to use guns
