Wow... Simply Amazing!
I have to say this game is an amaing spin-off of Pandemic.
I'm going to set up this review like my Pandemic review.
WHAT I LIKE:
- I really like the accuracy change in the regions on the map.
- I like how the player can interact more with the map.
- I love the new music. It gives the game much more suspense.
- Like Pandemic, I like how you do not actually see the deaths.
- I like the statistics interface. It is much easier to use and understand.
- I like how you can infect water supplies and airports yourself.
WHAT I DON'T LIKE:
- This is probably just me, but I liked the quality of the world map in Pandemic better.
- I don't like how the Breaking News panel covers a portion of the map.
HOW I MANAGED TO BEAT THE GAME:
Beating the game is difficult if you are playing it for the first time. In fact, you might find that you barely get anywhere without the game ending on you.
The most important thing to do is reduce lethality to zero at the very start. This seems to make the countries develop their vaccines more slowly.
Next, you need to completely infect one continent at a time. Don't go hogwild and try to infect all the continents at once. There is a such thing as immunity in this game.
After your first continent is infected completely, it is time to destroy the human population. Spread yourself to the other continents, while increasing your infectivity with each turn.
Once the whole population of the earth has your virus, it is time to kill. This will be highly reminiscent of the original Pandemic strategy from this point out.
FINAL WORD: As with Pandemic, my viruses are called Diabloids. MUWAHAHAH!
