Reviews for "Pandemic: EoM"

Great, but with flaws.

This is a great game, but it's a little frustrating, especially with the presence of Australia and Greenland. Maybe I haven't found it yet, but I can't find a way to send an infected plane to a specific place, and that gets frustrating, when you are trying to send an infected plane to either of the forementioned countries. Seeing how you've infected everythign but it and can't seem to find a pilot intellegent enough to drive it to Greenland is highly frustrating. But other then that, great concept, and great game.

haha can't believe i made it to the top, numer 1!!

still can't believe i made it first place, i've never managed to beat anyone in the scoreboards!!!

now, to the review, the graphics have certainly improved from the last time and the difficulty is set up higher in this one (the other one was too easy)
yet i think the first one had more options, more flexibility, more freedom, i mean with the incubation period, necrosis and all the other things
one thing i noticed was that in this one the virus doesnt spread by itself, you have to spend points to do so, though we know in the real world, it's not like that
and the other thing is that when a continent is infected, it doesnt continue its development of the cure
i liked the fact that some things were random, for example, in my game, canada made a cure for the disease, but it was a complete failure, so i got lucky :), i got relieved upon reading that
yet i didn't like to spend 10 points or too many turns just to infect a nearby country, at some points it was too random
another contra was that the airport and water supplies were only infected for a turn

perhaps you could consider making a difference between viruses and bacterias in the next game, thus the player can choose several strategies or combinations
and maybe take into account the geography of certain places and the quantity of population living there, and the density of a country
or implement evolution and adaptation of viruses/bacterias
and perhaps some system involving money, with which you can give tickets to people in order to help you spread and opening some political or cultural barriers
and one last idea is to consider that third world countries dont use so many flights compared as to more industrialized countries; or that their water supply facilities dont have that strict control over the quality of water
well, my point is to make the game more dynamic, by adding more ways of spreading, superior genes, antibodies, targeted viruses, etc, you get the idea

graphics: nice, better than the first one
style: nothing new, but i liked it
sound: it wasnt bad, but after playing for a while it gets tedious, maybe change the songs (i know there was an option to turn it off)
violence: its a "spreading chaos" game, what else to say?
interactivity: the first had more options
humor: none, except that canada made a cure, but it was a complete failure
overall: nice game, kept me entertained for a few hours

hope to see more from you, make the next one!

spreading argentinism to the world, hahaha!!! (anyway, saludos desde argentina)

good

well its always good when you get to kill the world

ok...could be better

I liked the game overall, but it woulda been better if u could modified the virus like in the first game. Also the different countries should been sized a little better. All in all it was a fun game

Unworthy Sequel

Ultimately, this was a very unrewarding game. The previous installment was fun to play simply because it was more interactive: rather than playing about with nebulous categories like "drug resistance", you had the choice of what virus you were going to be. Longer incubation period, or make the buggers pay by saving up for necrosis? The original had a sense of authenticity to it: you got the sense that this could actually happen. This one is more like a poorly-disguised dating sim.
