Reviews for "Pandemic: EoM"

Is it possible to win?

Sometimes my virus kills all its hosts after one turn, and I lose. Even when I level up my infectivity to 4 right off, my chances of infecting either another country, a water supply, airport, or the country I'm already in seem to be about 5%; I constantly find that with even 1 lethality, the virus kills all its hosts before I can get it to spread. I've yet to get it to every country.

I know I recognize that music from somewhere, but just can't remember...

You've done it again!

This is a great simulation and uses the medium of Flash to its full potential. Don't listen to anyone that tells you this is too hard or too random. I've been playing it for 30 minutes and still can't beat it; however, think about it people, if it was THAT easy for a virus to infect every single person and kill them, wouldn't that have happened by now? The reality is that natural occurences like weather patterns, smoke rings, and patterns of viral infection all follow choatic principles, and you've done a great job of incorporating this phenomenon into the game. I also love the fact that it's Man vs. Virus. Very cool game; glad to see you're still exploring this untapped genre.

EP 2007

Too much randomness

It was a very solid game. The interface was down right sexy, the new twist is amazing... but I feel that it is far too random... so many games I've blown more than 20 points to infect an area and just fall short. Too many random varibles in a game I feel take away the stradgey in a game.

I prefer the first one

You tried to make the game a bit more entertaining and challenging than the first pandemic, I understand that. But personally, I think that you have failed the mission of making it a better game. The main problem is the cure. Since the development of the cure for each area is picked up randomly, Africa (hello?) can finish 3/5 of its research in the first 10 days, making it impossible for my virus to do any damage. In addition, the cost of increasing legathy and infectivity is way too much early in the game. If you keep on pressing the "end turn" button, other contries will have ample time to develop the cure and in that case, you are cooked. Also, the "attack cure" button is so weak at the beginning of the game since your virus is so weak. As a result, it is useless to press it because nothing will happen. Do not tell me that I am good enough to play the game because I scored a daily high of 8640 points in your previous version. This game however, it is extremly boring and annoying because you do not have enough time/points to do anything at the beginning and the some contries develop the cure like there is no tomorrow, making your virus almost impossible to infect and do the damage. It is likely that I will eventually beat the game after playing it for hours, but it is just not worthy my time because I am tired and sick of starting over again and again. I have seen lots of great games, this one however, it is one of them. You tried too hard trying to make the game challenging and entertaining knowing that the first version was a success. You may have high expection on this game, but it will never reach the height the first game had and still has. You simply tried to hard to make it good.

mmmmm

i wont say the game is bad, but it didn't got me hooked like the last one, i think because i lost like 5 times in less than 10 turns =/ its way harder, anyway i'll vote u 5, i think its fair
