Reviews for "Pandemic: EoM"

Meh. Worser than the previous one.

Like the previous reviewer said, the results are waaaaaaaaaaay too random. It could take anywhere from 1-20 tries to infect a new country, and upgrading your virus seemed to do jack. It's just not fun when you pour all your points into something and get absolutely nothing. Also, I don't think the music fit as well as in the previous game.

Nice try, but you sort of killed it.

not up to par with the last pandemic

i like the idea, i like the new options, but this one does NOT compare to the last pandemic

results are TOO RANDOM. i had to restart 15 times and i lost no matter which way i tried. the first time i played i had major luck - infected countries on the first try, airports, etc. then after 10 times of failing, i decided to test this "random luck" out

i upgraded my resistance
skipped like 8 turns
there were a couple places researching a cure up to 2/5 and maybe 3/5
got my infectivity up to 4 or 5, lethality and resistance to 2 or 3, and had like 10 points remaining

ALL 10 POINTS AND I COULD NOT INFECT AN AIRPORT
COULD NOT GET THE WATER
COULD NOT SPREAD IT FURTHER
COULD NOT ATTACK THE CURE!!!!!!!

everything in this game is far too randomly generated. nothing to do with difficulty or skill or gameplay, it is all completely random with the skill upgrades giving a minor +% in chance. also how come its +2 +2 +3 +2 +2 +2 ???? what happened to the bonus points for increasing the tolls?? im gonna go back to playing pandemic 1

Its ok, but too hard

I didnt really get into this game as I got into the last one. It's good, but a wee bit too hard at the start, and not enough to captivate you. Nice try though.

Yeah, it's too hard

I still like it, but the difficulty of this game is near absurd. The upgrades cost too much, there's too few of them, and they do damn near nothing even when upgraded (especially the Cure attack). The music is very appropriate though, sets a sort of "Doomsday" atmosphere, like the last one. I like it. =)

And BonusStage, you're just being a pretentious dick because online games are the only part of your life where you can feel like you're better at something than other people. Calm the fuck down; if people don't like this game, let them think so, you fucking ideological Hitler. Don't be such a pansy.

But yeah. This game was alright, but I would've liked more options, like the last one, and some actual animation. I understand the style you're going for, but typically, less animation = less entertainment. I'm not saying throw in full-blown cutscenes, but little things, like showing the airplanes flying or the virus spreading through a country would certainly grab my attention more than a brown blob. And maybe some more creative newsfeeds with emotion. If an entire continent is wiped out, I do believe there'd be a panicky tone in what the news says.

Just try not to be so rigid in your style. I'm looking forward to more, regardless.

could still use some tweaking

i enjoyed the game and i really did like the added difficulty but i felt there were a few annoying little quirks that really became bothersome...

the upgrades... very comprehensive in the last one... this one seemed dumbed down

the airports... if you have an entire country infected you would think infecting an airport would be a little easier

the cure system... a nice addition to the difficulty... but i really doubt america would start rushing for a cure if one person got a weird headcold in china... i seriously doubt they would know that soon... i think it would have been better to allow for your virus to go invisible, but instead of allowing people to just crank up the lethality, maybe only allow one stat increase every two turns to allow for time to evolve... or make it a lot faster to evolve if there are less people affected
