Reviews for "Revenge of the Kongs"

nice flash but.....

..... you have to be more original, coz this kind of flash is already done (see ROTMK) and reminded me of lotr.gotta be more original.

cmon, you are chilean, you are giving bad name to our country.be more original.

Wow!

Well, that was really top notch! You did a great job on this one, so please make more! One of the many things that caught my eye was the loading screen. That alone was very well done. Then the fact that you got the sprites to move perfectly was truly outstanding! It was a wee bit violent, so I thought this was an exceptionally good flash. Good choice on music too. Oh, and one last thing… Poor Diddy! He went through so much in the game, now this?!?! I really feel for the little guy.

So, all in all you did a superb job. Keep up the great work.

Really nice flash dude!

So many things went wrong...

First off... I'd like to say that I know it's very hard to learn flash. Well. Let's see the track record, this author's made SIX movies before. Uh-huh. Okay. Not an excuse here.

Here's the breakdown of what went wrong.
1) Pixels. There were WAY too many pixel sizes on the screen at all times. It made the movie really bad in quality, which is why I gave the graphics 1/10, along with how the movie seemed to slim the sprites and how unrealistic to the pixels most of the animation was like blood and the hooded guy.
2) The hooded guy. The movie made no sense in the first place, so how does a random hooded guy that isn't K Rool or a Kremling make any sense? Is there a sequel? Because I'm sure I saw every single one of the Kongs die like it was a horror movie. The hooded guy just does not belong.
3) The blood. What the hell. What I hate most is when people use a tremendous amount of blood for no reason, on a parody of a family-style game. Not great. Dixie's murder was the worst, and it ruined the movie even more for me. Then the kremling got the tusk in the chest from an extremely loving rhino buddy. I'm never going to look at poor Rambi the same again.
4) The voice effects. I, personally, was shocked to see that there was more than 1 person who recorded voices for the "characters", because all it was was just a bunch of noises and Cranky talking in an incredibly out-of-character and soft voice I could hardly understand.
5) THE OBVIOUS OVERUSE OF THE PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN SOUNDTRACK! That was one of the most annoying things I've ever heard. A bunch of yoshi-sounding Kongs being brutally murdered with far more gore than needed on a G-rated game parody set to practically all the music in a hit movie in a matter of a few minutes.
6) The long and useless cutscenes. Does anyone want to sit there and watch pixels on the screen get larger and smaller dramatically for 2 minutes for no reason? I swear, the scene in Cranky's house was never going to be over. The reason the movie is so long is because the cast will sit there for minutes, as the screen slowly moves in closer.

Along with that are small things, like if the viewer wanted to skip past the boring movie to see who's responsible for such an awful and incredibly boring movie (the credits), you had to see the ending first. DK being blown up was the only funny part and it set the tone for the movie falsely. The crying was way overused and made the characters look screwed up. The use of Rambi as a war mechanism was just incredibly screwed up too.

Overwall, even though it was the worst flash movie I've ever seen, I gave it at least a 1 because it must've taken a lot of time to do, and I watched it to the end, which, as painful as it was, I got great solace to know the main character was lieing dead on a box for no apparent reason.
