Reviews for "Super Mario bros Z ep 5 (old series)"

Very good one thing tho....

this is one good flash the use of sprite was flawless and the fighting parts are really good but are you going to include geno or/and mallow in this? it would be intresting to know if you are after all they were part of smrpg legend of the 7 stars which is the best mario game there is even if it is from super nitendo.

Unbelievable

In this post, I will review the series.
You are the greatest video game parody maker ever. The use of finding all of your sprites, the sounds that you find, and you showed me just how similar Sonic and Shadow are to Goku and Vegeta. Keep it the fuck up, man.
I only have a question and a few problems.
Where is the old Yoshi sprite from? What game? I need to know.
Also, instead of using the old Yoshi's Island Yoshi sprites, use the new Yoshi's Island DS look. It looks much better. The 16-bit Yoshi's looked slightly out of place.

However, you are the greatest parody of video games on Newgrounds. Keep it up. I'm not even a big fan of DBZ, but I still get the jokes.

Alvin-Earthworm responds:

The old Yoshi sprites are from Paper Mario.
I found them on Mario fan games galaxy.
Glad you enjoy the series. =D

Holy SHIT! Where have you been!?

I've been DYING for episode 5 for months! Thank GOD you havent forgotten your faithful fans!! *glomps* GOD BLESS YOU!! =^-^=

I love your series.

I have to say, that was a pretty awesome flash. Everything went smooth. I found myself laughing at many different things during the beginning (most likely references i was catching), and i found myself intrigued with the battles. Seriously, the only thing i hated about this flash was the feeling that it had ended so abruptly. (even though it was pretty long).

I don't think there was a time during the movie where i was like, "man this is just boring, when's it gonna be over?"

in fact i wasn't thinking or saying anything at all, just actually sitting in plain amazement and stupification (i think i just made that up, oh well, you caught my drift right?).

I can't wait 'til the next one, and.. im kind of mad that i have to wait. Get going. God damn it.

OH! almost forgot. I think during the movie you had "Texas Fagot" playing? right? that's such a great song. good use of it too! (im referring to the techno song if i have the name/artist wrong).

The only review I'll ever write on Newgrounds.

I sincerely hope the creator reads this; because I want it to be known that I've been coming to Newgrounds regularly since back in '97 or so and it was this Flash animation that finally made me register an account with the site to post my first and, likely, ownly review.

I've been watching the series episode-by-episode since release; and I've been watching your other Flash stuff and your DeviantArt stuff; and I think you're an amazingly talented individual. There are people here who mock sprite-based flash because it isn't original drawing; but no one can argue that sprite-animation is not an artform because Newground's history very clearly shows otherwise.

My actual reason for writing this is almost entirely due to the Axem Rangers. Back months ago my friend and I were discussing how awesome it would be for the group to show up in the series (the both of us being huge Mario RPG fans); but I dismissed it ever happening on the basis that there weren't any good sprites that would fit the series; nor did I feel that anyone would be willing to make adaptations of the old Mario RPG sprites into a form that would work for this series.

I can't say I've ever been more pleased to be proven wrong. That was amazing.

Keep going strong with the series; but don't burn yourself out on it. Myself and, very clearly, tons and tons of other viewers look forward to your work. And for every one person who gets angry and doesn't understand then; going by this review board there are ten who think you're doing an amazing job.

I believe I speak for most everyone when I say that we are eagerly awaiting your future work. We appreciate you putting this series together and sharing it with us.
