I've died and gone to flash music heaven!
This is BY FAR one of the best gadgets I've seen in the Newgrounds portal! Most of the gadgets are nice to looks and for a bit, or even give you a little bit of a laugh or two. But just as most toys of old go into the closet and collect dust, many of the NG gadgets get their time in the spotlight and fade away. Such is the way of things.
Just the idea behind this radio player: so simple, so obvious, yet noone thought of it sooner. It's an incredible find, and even more incredible that you managed to pull it off in under 700 KB. Perfect 10 on style, and you deserve every point of it.
Graphics are nice and the buttons are easy to read and understand: a sleek, metallic design to the buttons and frame of the radio. Perhaps the only thing that could make this even better is a choice of skins.
It's a fully-functunal and operates either by punching in the numeric code of the song, or by letting it randomly select on for you. If you find one of interest, it lets you save it to a playlist, and even download if you want to. That's an incredible time saver for those of us who have to surf the pages to find our music, yet too lazy to download it. I can only assume that it automatically updates when new audio portal entries are added, and judging by the looks of this its apparent you didn't forget about that. The one thing that could have given me reason to go 10 for 10 in interactivity is the lack of some sort of filter. I don't know how you would impliment it, but it would be awesome if you could find a way to block out low rated songs or certain musical genres at the user's discretion.
I'm already giving you a 5 for this, without question. If you come out with a revised version of this player, with the two improvements I suggested, I'd do everything in my power to give you a 6 or 7.
I'm sure I'm not the only one going "Man, why didn't I think of that?!" Bravo!
